The new sculpt looks great. Heightens my consideration on getting this piece.

This isn't something that I'll be buying myself, but I feel like it just doesn't work without the HOA in the background. So IMO they'd have to include the background like they did with Joker 2.0 with the interrogation room. THAT would be sweet.

But Stark sitting in the middle of a shelf on his platform with nothing behind him......meh.

That's their plan. They want you to spend $800 on a 7-pack of armories, and a few thousand on the seven IM armors that have been released.

I completely agree. That backdrop really makes the set-up complete. I understand Hot Toys would rather people buy Marks I - VII and the full HOA set, but at the same time, it would be nice to have something slightly more affordable.

I have a feeling they will include it. Take the Gantry set with the Mark IV. It comes with the background picture. I'm pretty sure this will come with it too. I'm getting the HoA along with this so it should look sweet.

As a Photographer, it still kills me that these guys don't know anything about White Balance. The skin color is totally different, LOL. Someone teach these guys how to use a camera!

I know right? It pains me how white he looks in the second one...almost undead even

I just noticed that the eye area is really the problem with the new sculpt.
Cover it and everything else looks perfect.

Now I think the new sculpt is an improvement except for the eye area.

It's definitely improved but something is just a little off. I think maybe the cheeks need a little more 'fullness' or 'droop.' Otherwise it looks stellar.

I'm not sure if in the film if he hovers in the air with this armor on, BUT IF HE DOES, I would love for a stand that will give him the appearance of flight like from the mech test version! THAT WOULD BE AWESOME!

I have nine Ironman Armors (not counting MK7 that’s on pre-order), Mech Test , Iron Monger, Whiplash, IM2 Black Widow, War Machine, one Tony Custom (Avengers), and to be honest after this Tony, if they didn't make another Ironman related figure it wouldn't hurt my feelings at all. But, I know they'll finally do a MK44 (I think that's the one that will be from IM3), an Iron Patriot, a Mandarin, probably a couple more Armors, and maybe even a Radioactive Man.

I'll have to get them too then, I’m just glad I can resist the repaints.

I think he has a really cool fight scene just wearing his boot and hand armor

I liked this before (just not the price) but i do really like the update. The facial expression looks like it's from the scene in the trailer when he is talking to Pepper about protecting her.

From what I remember hearing,

he is attacked when he is on the run and, as seen in the latest trailer, fighting back with a gauntlet. The first piece of concept art released is related to that.

However, loving the new sculpt, just got to bite the bullet and order him when I get enough money.

I hate to say this to you, but they are getting paid by HT to take the pictures. Not you. So really who knows more the person getting paid or the person just saying the person getting paid does not know more? Maybe you should send them some pictures and hope they replace the other person with you. Sorry, step up to the plate.
