It looks better without the cardboard IMO. The cardboard looks silly.

I agree! Has a more high-end feel without the cardboard/mat.
It looks better compressed that way too.

What are your thoughts about the updated headsculpt guys? I loved it when I first saw it, but whenever I see an in hand frontal picture of him, the face looks a bit too rounded. I don't know, maybe i'm just being too picky

I remember when this was announced back in January and thought possibly it could drop around the release of IM3. However, with all these other releases, I'm expecting it September!

I pre-ordered the HT Tony Stark, but, as I said before, I'm not 100% sold on the HS. Maybe 60%. And this one is exactly what I think it should be, with some minor tweaks. That's one hell of a sculpt

I think you misunderstood man. Unfortunately that pic is not from HT's Tony Stark, it's play imaginative. Chances are HT won't modify their HS anymore

Best word to describe this figure in terms of what it means to Iron Man 3. If you want something to represent Iron Man 3 I'd get this. I cannot wait to get this guy!
