Regarding the light up chest, I don't know where you guys see a sticker.
You can see that it's under his shirt but they don't have it lit up much like any of their mark figures on display.

So can someone tell me why he has half his suit on in the film? and why HT's just didn't make a figure with removable armor? Instead of making a Tony figure with just some parts and another armored version.

Because that would of been impossible

Have you seen the film yet because that would answer your other questions

He's only got pieces of the suit on in this scene of the movie because he's testing out his new design. He implants sensors into himself and the pieces of the armor attach themselves to him from afar as a result. They basically follow where his mind wants them to go.

Trust me, once you see the movie, this entire figure will make sense. It's actually an awesome scene, and while I was on the fence about spending the money with so much on PO already, as soon as I got home I PO'd this from Superpowercollectibles before it sold out.

As a few have mentioned before me, this is the figure to get from Iron Man 3, with the Mk. XLII a close second. Well, that's my non-existent wallet talking. They're both on equal ground for ones to buy from this flick.

As for your question about why not make an entirely removable suit, well this is definitely not just a Tony Stark figure...they've basically recreated the scene in a Hot Toy and it's awesome. The armored version they've released on top of this is more or less from midway through the film. It's battle-damaged (the only way to really display it) and he's battered and bruised. The film is really a Tony Stark movie over an Iron Man movie, so I'm really happy Hot Toys created a display version of this scene over just a bunch of suits.

Thanks

I will be seeing this soon

If Hot Toys included a couple more things this would be an even better buy.

Same headsculpt but 'battle damaged'
Glasses
Uzi
AIM Vest
Hooded Jacket

I had little interest in this figure before seeing the movie, now I think it would be a great piece to have....but dang $280?! I didn't realize it was that high. Ouch. Does come with a lot of stuff though.

For me the deal breaker would be a HoA diorama backdrop, like what they did with Joker 2.0. Although to be honest I've never seen the Joker one in person, is it nice and worth displaying with your collection? I would assume so.

This Stark piece just wouldn't be as impressive without the HoA behind it.

Speaking of Uzis, I might bash a second figure from the "escape" scene. That would look awesome. :lecture

Ugh. Tony MacGyver was a joke. :yuck

Like a lot of IM3, it belonged in another movie . . . :slap

And another shark gets jumped.

Lol. Lighten up Gulliver.
You remember the first movie, right?
The one where he made an ARC reactor from a bunch of junk to make a powered suit and escape from a cave?
In what way are his exploits in IM3 any different or more far fetched?
:rotfl

sometimes people forget that its a ****ing comic book movie where a man in a suit can fly.

And where a man with ten rings that could summon dragons and teleport is actually *more* far fetched than a guy who can make tazer-gloves from copper wire he bought from home depot

haha so its not weird when a billionaire genius who builds some of the most advanced suits on the planet, but when he builds a taser glove it jumping the shark? the Entire MCU is "Jumping the shark"
Asguardian Gods= jumping the shark
Super soldier= jumping the shark
Aliens= jumping the shark
some people cant use their brains.:slap:slap
