Even If HT read all these posts & see so many people pissed at the Adidas thing they couldn't do anything about it even if they wanted to.
The movie costume designers are at fault here but i really don't think about it to be honest.
The figure wouldn't be accurate if the trainers were changed to boots or whatever so we have to live with it or just don't buy it.
I personally am gonna get it i like how Joe has evolved over the years & im not stuck in the past wanting older versions even if i enjoyed the cartoons as a kid.
I loved transformers in the 80's but I'd rather have the recent movie versions as figures over the retro ones they look so much better but i'll always love the old cartoons.
Guys there's no rules or laws here on what you can & cant like or be loyal to a certain era

This looks great, love the masked head. The likeness is fantastic and I'd say as a figure it's on par with their Snake Eyes, if not better.


Price is awful though, over $200? But hell, ALL the prices for every figure they do now is ridiculous, especially the DX figs.

I'm not a fan of Joe, i saw the first film and thought it was alright, Storm & Snake were the highlight. I haven't given a second thought to the sequel until today

But this figure speaks to me, i've been looking over and over at the pics.

I've always loved white superhero costumes, even though Storm Shadow is a baddie. The masked head looks awesome and all the weapons too.

Not 100% if i'll get it, but i'm at at least 80% right now based on cool factor alone

I was never mad on joe either watched the cartoons back in the day, I watched the first film as im a huge fan of Ray Park & quite liked snakes costume in the latest films, So getting him was a no brainer but i cant have him on his own i needed his baddie half brother so to speak so seeing all the pics of SS im pretty much 90% sold on it now, Im just happy to see anything released other than Iron man to be honest haha

Not seeing anywhere in the UK with this PO'ed but theres shops in europe have it up already, Still curious what the price is gonna be on this.

Oh yeah, I was the first to point that out on the HT Fb page when the proto pics came out -- that the lame design was all the movie designers' fault, not HT's. Of course we know that. I knew HT won't release it without the sneakers as it would be inaccurate, that's why I said I thought of doing it myself. And I'm actually praising the amount of quality HT gave on this figure, mind you.

I am open to change. I have drawn characters I grew up with that now have new designs, some retaining their iconic look, some lost it. BUt my beef here is not with how it should like a modernized version of the classic Storm Shadow, but with the impracticality of the design. I embraced the Retaliation Snake Eyes, but this, I can't. There's just more fashion than function, and I think it shouldn't be that way for ninjas.

in my view, in the first film he seems a very vein character, anyone who wears all white is looking to stand out.

As well as being vein he also comes across as very arrogant, beleiving than no one is is equal, so with that in mind it feels like functionality isn't a concern of his as he acts like he can whoop anyone while wearing anything.

So in his mind Fashion beats funtionality as he won't be facing many opponent that'll make him work hard or need that extra manueverability

Don't get me wrong i do see hardcore fans of the iconic SS having trouble warming to the latest offering & i really dunno why the costume designers chose to use trainers & in fact a specific brand as well i suppose that has made it a bit cheesy that they chose advertising over practicality . But i cant really have a major problem with this as its only footwear & not a huge piece that is seen. I quite like the outfit so i cant really pick anything too bad with it maybe the design could have been tweaked & lose the length of the jacket tails as it would cause problems when jumping or flying through the air as Ninja's do
the weapons are cool i love sai's so i was happy about that

I think they needed the money since they didn't have much from the first film so product placement could help

I actually love the sais, though I can't remember seeing if HT included hands that are specifically designed for it. If they didn't, I guess the ones for the katanas will do.

yeah ive just looked & i think its just the hands for the Katanas they used when holding the sai's not a problem really haha product placement that just gave me a mad image in my head, Snake kicking a subway sandwich into SS mouth like on the Happy Gilmore movie with Adam sandler haha that would be cruel to watch

Love the design! The price is a tad high, but with metal swords an two heads that actually look like the actor are a plus.

I went to see Hansel & Gretel yesterday with a friend. They showed a 5 or 6 minute trailer of Snake Eyes and Storm Shadow fighting. It was amazing to watch, there was hardly any music, just action and awesome sound design. I try not to have any expectations going to see a movie so I won't be disappointed, but after seeing that extended trailer I'm so excited so I preorderd both SE and SS.
