Damn Fiend, cancelling sucks. I've had to pass on a few big wants recently, but I've prioritised these over just about everything else.

Sorry you may have to cancel these Fiend, shame. :( Looks like they're going to be a great set.

I still hope they fix his torso and tighten the undies a bit as well.

I hope Hot Toys reveals the Batmobile soon. I'm sure it'll be a long ways off even after it's up for pre-order but I'm curious what they're going to charge for it.

When forestlite reckoned 5 months ago that:

I'm hoping against hope, but I have a feeling this will be the most expensive Batmobile yet. Think it will cross over into the seven hundred dollar mark....

What makes you say that? It's a relatively easy build, depending on what details they decide to add. And tbh, $700 will price out too many potential customers. It'll likely be $550 or thereabouts, and pushing past $600 if the features are insane.

...but now I'm reckoning the later it gets announced the more likely he is to be right. $650 sounds reasonable in today's money, maybe even optimistic :(

I'm hoping for $550ish but would probably go to $650. Anything above that is going to be pushing it for me, even though I really want it to go with the duo.

My guess is at least $750. The paintwork, extra pieces to be molded and detailing are far more intricate than other batmobiles released. Hope I'm wrong.

I really don't think it will be that much. I think Hot Toys is smart enough to realize that asking that much is just going to not sell as many units and really limit the amount of people who will buy it. Plus as expensive as Hot Toys products are they do sometimes pull out surprises such as the recent The Dark Knight Armory set. That could have easily been way expensive considering it's three figures and a diorama piece but it's actually reasonable all things considered.

Still hoping your prediction is more accurate Lejuan! But just in case, I'm hoarding my SS reward points to help take the sting out of the final price. HT has been pretty quiet about the Batmobile...hope we see it up for pre-order before SDCC.

Hopefully the batmobile will go up for preorder soon and not be cancelled. U never
Know with hot toys if something will be cancelled or not until it goes up for preorder

Too bad the Batmobile is too small. You can see it in the pics with the figures standing in it. the windshield is noticeably too small.

What's the most expensive HT set so far? Is it the armory or the 89 Batmobile? I can see them upping the price of this to around that range, since they know people will probably buy it like the others... sucks for us customers...
