Must watch Batman and Robin again one of these days to see if it is truly the sixties throwback some retroactively claim it to be. Perhaps it is appreciable on that level.
I think it was recently announced for a DVD release.
Although they were recently on ITV4 during the day.
I think he's talking about the actual "Batman & Robin" (The Clooney Film), as some claim that it's a camp ode to the classic TV Series; I beg to differ. Honestly, though, when I really think about "Batman & Robin," I'm bemused by how it turned out, as, honestly, on paper, it could've been a great movie. You've got George Clooney, one of the most acclaimed actors of this generation, in the leading role, and you've got a story that is torn almost directly from one of the greatest episodes of The Animated Series, nay, of any television series, ever produced. The amount of potential there is so astoundingly high to me that I think what fruits the labor of those involved bore stands as a testament to their total lack of finesse. I don't know; I just think it would actually be more difficult to get a movie like "Batman & Robin" out of the idea for a film based on "Heart of Ice," and starring the man who would, arguably, become the future king of Hollywood, than it would to make something, at least, decent.
