Hey thanks for digging the resculpted head guys here's a teaser from before....should have the final painted head done really soon. Lots of Wolverine love popping up!

Hey guys I just won this figure from SSC and am really excited to get it. :yess: :panic:

I have been reading several pages back and it looks like people are repainting the facial hair for a more accurate look. Instead of repainting would it be a option to remove some of the paint on his stache and chin? I don't trust myself on a full repaint. With the DX-13 we used rubbing alcohol to remove the extra blood effects to leave the chrome parts silver instead of covered in orange goo lol.

Could this be an option?

You could just leave that alone and just repaint the chops a bit darker of you don't wanna try the full redo

People have done that.

Just ordered some waterslide decal eyes from evilbay. The eyes are the hardest part for me to paint. So if I can get these to work I'll be so happy!!image.jpgimage.jpgimage.jpg

Also here is unpainted pics of the wolverine head. I am thinking maybe going all black to match the armor I am using for my custom...the brown costume I did was for that statue. Did a classic yellow/blue too. So what do u all think? Will it work with that inflames metal gear black armor? image.jpg

Guys I'm still undecided. Maybe you can help me out.
I currently have a bad case of DC overstock on my shelf. I have loki and Thor on PO, though. But that doesn't mean I don't want a marvel figure right now.
I have been looking out for the wolverine for quite some time now. He does look really nice and I love a neat suit on a 1/6 figure. That's why I would display him with his black suit. The likeness I think is not bad from what I see. The beard/mustache is not a deal breaker for me.
But, in the pictures it sometimes seems as though the wolverine had a very short neck, when wearing the suit.
Does this only seem that way, or does it look better in hand? Can this be fuzzed to look better?

This figure looks amazing in person. One of the best looking figures hot toys has done.

What specific brand and color name do u use to get that skintone? I like the shade. Thanks!

It's a mixed color I came up with and some washes and pastels. There's not just one color I can just squeeze out of a tube. It's burnt sienna, raw sienna, white and a drop of black and a drop of red. Just gotta mess with it til you find a good one and mix up a bunch and store it away

you ever think of making paints and selling it? ive got some I like, and i mix some that I like. but i would prefer to just buy it and use it. so much easier. lol any progress on your masked wolverine head?

Ive orderd some paint from Scale 75, called scale paints i think. Comes in 6 or 8 bottle eye drop sets like vallejo. but its supposed to be very thick so u can thin it and get more, plus i guess it comes in sets designed for mixing, with instructions. anyone ever use any of their stuff?
