Here are a couple pics of my finished X-1 wolverine (since I noticed Jake posted pics of the sculpt), for anyone that doesn't frequent the customs section. :)

I just can't get enough of this guy, just straight up amazing.. Is most of it from the original hot toys fig?

Thanks, Yoda! :)

Actually the jacket, pants, boots, dog tags and belt/belt buckle are all bootleg, but you'd never know it! :lol It helps that I've modified most of it. The body, hands, tank-top and base sculpt are all from the MMS220.

Go with the last stand figure ? He got the classic wolverine hair and is just plain awesome . I passed on this latest wolverine . I hate the suit look and the body is way to skinny . You could also preorder ex figures wolf man . He looks very promising .

Thanks for the info. pulled the tripper on the last stand fig as I agree that it reps the classic character best. can't wait to get it in.

Hey Marf, where did you get the jacket and jeans/buckle? I've working on a similar custom, and those are the pieces I'm having the most trouble with!

So I just saw X-Men: DOFP and it was great! The best X-Men movie yet. As I was watching it, I was looking at people's costumes and such to see what would look good as a Hot Toys figure, and Wolverine had an awesome 70's outfit that would look great on a figure. Magneto's costume towards the end was pretty sweet looking as well. Mystique actually looks like she could be real in this movie as compared to First Class where she looked absurdly fake. I really hope Hot Toys makes some figures out of the movie. I'd definitely PO them.

DOFP was actually pretty good, i wouldn't be getting another wolverine though.

I'm only interested if its a casual version (as oppose to a Future version) or it has an amazing headsculpt (in which case I'll just buy the head and make two versions out of The Wolverine figure)

I was just thinking "is Wolverine really iconic enough to warrant a DX," and, after thinking about it for less than 5 seconds, I thought "yeah, he is." I know comic fans have had their issues with him, but I feel that, after 14 years and counting, Jackman's really defined that role, and, since we know he's got, at least, two more in him, that's almost two decades as a staple of the X-Men franchise. I'd say that absolutely warrants the DX treatment, because, to be completely frank, I wonder if we'll ever see someone take on such a career defining role as that one, and manage to do so for as long as Jackman has, and with even half as much commitment.

The last thing any Wolverine figure needs is something else that could potentially **** up his likeness as PERS can (DX13 is an exceptional case to the rule on non-makeup wearing characters). They have enough trouble with Jackman's likeness as it is.
