Re: Dark World Thor Armor

Personally I'm all for it. Things get buried in threads too easily and get lost. So I'll keep posting the way I prefer. If Dave has issues with how we post, we'll here about it from him. Please keep this in mind before policing another thread in the future. Thanks! :duff

I'm guessing most people aren't for it. And no, your question wouldn't have gotten buried in any of the Thor threads. It would've been answered.

Just so we're clear, what's good enough for everybody else is NOT good enough for you?

Re: Dark World Thor Armor

And I'll call you out on it every time you do! Thanks! :duff

It's not your responsibility to moderate other members.

I use the Report Post button when I have an issues with someone post

Re: Dark World Thor Armor

Hmm, this argument has been part of many forums (not just this one) since 'time' began. Sometimes policing single threads works, sometimes it seems over the top. It largely depends on the subject matter, and the sub-forum structure.

My 2c, I have noticed duplicate threads are always merged, so that pretty much says to me it's a little pointless creating new threads for every single little question on a figure. Whether or not youtube reviews should have their own threads or not I guess is a bit more debateable. In that case I would say it is awkward fishing for embedded clips within a thread.

And it's not your responsibility to fill up the Marvel section with thread after thread regarding your custom display work. They belong in one thread in something like Show Your Shelves.

I found the post with the search function in like 20 seconds. Which would have saved everyone the trouble of the same argument again. Boba complains that the threads are not singular focused and defends the right of the oppressed thread starters, Yankee is snarky and takes shots at the three people he doesn't like, someone posts a smiley face about it or comment Yankee likes, he reps it like they are validating him, boba complains to the mods...we start over.

Use the search

And Motux swings wildly from being a major a-hole (his words, not mine...he actually took pride in this in a meme he posted)...

...to a minor one. Looks like he's a major a-hole again. :lol

you guessed wrong... at least from the feedback i've gotten from a bunch of PM's last night LOL
aaaaaaaanyway... ignoring the internet police...

Use the search

Play nice, Freaks.

If you have a specific question regarding a figure; Please search the forum for the appropriate thread and ask the question(s) there.

i did try the search function... didn't find anything detailed on how to "remove" it...
Also the information isn't contained in the DW thread on how to take it apart. (at least not that I could find) It's in the AOU thread, hence why digging thru the DW thread also did no good.

Yes, it's best to minimize the creation of new threads where existing threads can be used to ask questions or post comments. A less cluttered forum is a good thing. And I would extend that to Youtube video threads. But there are exceptions. But overall, I would suggest we all be reasonable, and be cool. If you think a thread should be merged with another one, just report it. Less confrontation by boardies is also a good thing.

agreed! i was shocked at the apparent turmoil it raised w/ someone over making a thread... which is what this place is about. and the 45 minutes i spent digging around in the correct thread was taken care of in minutes from a helpful member pointing me in the direction of another thread! so thx again for the help!

now moving on... :chase

This forum is backwards from any other forum on the net.

Here, the plank holders want singular convoluted threads that are 10000 posts long and they don't mind if you discuss anything in the thread, even if it is off topic, because it would seem that post count and thread size matter more then the actually quality of the thread and the posts contained within.

If this forum didn't blend everything together the search function would work a lot better but they still haven't figured that out and I doubt they ever will.

It's sad to see YFB filling the shoes of a banned member.

That makes total sense, why would anyone want to read about how to modify 1/6 Hot Toys Marvel products in a 1/6 scale Marvel forum.

And yet you continually frequent the forum. No one is forcing you to stay or post, and feel free to leave this forum if it does not meet to your expectations.

This is the only game in town.

I lump it in with Wal-Mart, PalPal and Ebay.

I will say that because of people like Yanky (either of them) I post a lot less then I would, and if you look at my post history you will see that I'm more of a problem solver / creator and not that much of a Twitter talker.

Going forward, if pro design has a question, I hope he posts it in a figure thread, like everybody else here does. There is no need for extraneous threads in the Marvel section, this place is busy enough as is.

If Boba Debt posts far less frequently here because of me, I oughta get a medal. He considers himself a problem solver? He is combative with many members and usually leaves train wrecks in his wake.

Honestly man, in the most non-confrontational way I can say it, I'll continue to post how I see fit. No disrespect to you, but policing threads is not your place. All it does is make you look like a bully or a control freak. Which I hope neither is the case.

As our mod above clearly stated, if you have an issue or a post rubs your rhubarb the wrong way, simply report the post. It's their job to police these threads and to make sure no rules are broken and to let people know things. You dictating to people to what they can/ can't do, should/shouldn't do doesn't do anything to keep things friendly around here. And personally I'm a fan of friendly! So let's just agree to disagree and drop it, and let the mods do their job if there something breaking the rules. Fair enough?

Half the people are here to argue, and the other half post to see their count go up. It's ridiculous in some of the Marvel threads, one word posts or gif replies. They do that crap constantly.

You did something wrong and ink merged your thread into the existing figure thread. Why do you continue to be so indignant and defiant?

To be honest, I don't enjoy narcing on people and reporting posts. But if you continue to start threads to ask questions - which the mods have already deemed unacceptable - then I will start reporting your threads.

I'd rather not but you seem committed to this personal narrative that YOU'RE the one being persecuted. :cuckoo:
