Yankee is only helping you man.
You do have every right to post as you see fit. So there's no stopping you from creating a thread that has something to do with Marvel, DC, etc.
But if that thread falls into the category that can be streamlined by its proper channels, then it should be.
It prevents clutter.

Its pretty much a given in any forum that you posts to the proper category.
The only exception is:
A) You're a newbie and you didnt know there's a thread already for it.
B) You need a quick response, since new threads gather quick attention.

This prevents coming into marvel and seeing clusterF&*@$ of threads all talking about the same thing.
Its annoying.
Some people may just not be vocal about it like Yankee did, but I'm sure there's a lot of people here that gets annoyed by redundant threads.
There's a reason why most of these useless new threads eventually get buried...cause people will
eventually just ignore it.
What did the mod eventually do to your thread? Merged it the right thread.
Its not cause the mod wanted to please Yankee, its to prevent cluttered sections.

I think you're getting this wrong...I think you're getting offended cause you feel like you're being told you cant start a thread.
Its not that. You can start a thread all you like.
But if its specifically about a character that already has its thread, then it should be posted there.

Oh I agree with you 100% Remy... its not necessary to create a million posts when one exists. Which I don't do.
The reason for the post, which as you state is acceptable... is because I needed an answer quick as I had glue out and 2 figures in pieces... and searched the "correct" forum for every bit of 30-40 min trying to figure out the problem. The answer wasn't in the DW thread... hence why I couldn't find it. The info was in a totally different thread, one of which I wouldn't have looked or posted in. Clutter is clutter... some people like things separated, some like it all condensed... to me I'd rather it be separate if it's specific issues... Easier to find info especially w/ the lackluster search here. Gets hard to find specific info that quickly gets buried in a thread. Agree we don't need 3 DW threads talking about the figure, showing the pics and the videos... but if there's a problem or mods done to it or customized things... i'd much rather a separate thread. But that's just one guy's opinion.

Don't know that I agree on your opinion of Mr YFB... If you go back and look at my post, after I was asked why I made a separate post... I simply explained why. At that point it should have been dropped. No reason to go into "wannabe mod" mode. If he was still upset by the post, at that point just report it and follow the guidelines/rules we are all under and drop it. That is my grief with it all... again, not his place... and specifically documented in the code of conduct that it's not his place and infractions occur if it happens. No where does it state starting a post asking a question is against the rules or an offense. But anyways... enough of the silliness... at lease we brought some life back to the DW Thor thread! :rotfl

BobaDen- you should look at modding one of your figures w/ some parts from the AOU version when the parts start popping up. Looks like it would be an easy swap to get a current design! But looking at Remy's pix... I'm in agreement that the DW version of the cape looks better... decisions, decisions!

You made a superfluous thread then got pissed when I brought it to your attention. I'm not the only one who's done that and I wasn't trying to play mod. You live and you learn. Just move on.

Not your place to bring it to anyone's attention... you're not a mod. Just move on! Please follow the guidelines put in place in the code of conduct.

Dude, chill out. Most people, upon being corrected, would just take it in stride and not do it again. You can do the same. :duff

Not your place to correct anyone and it's against the rules. I'm assuming you know that by now... just keep it in mind for future reference and maybe it'll help you out! :hi5:

Man that's a good one! Your first post, then every subsequent one is an effort to mod/correct/dictate!! LOL Such funny guy! :cuckoo:

Anyways... enough of the YFB comedy hour.

So back on target... the ZC body w/ the seamless arms works as a great replacement if you have a dw Thor w/ the armored arms... and wanna try to doing some swapping of the body and get an LA look to him... I'll post up some pix... (HOPEFULLY in this thread of course) when the glue is dry on the body. I had a mishap w/ one of the arms yesterday trying to figure out the armor which was point of needing help w/ the post I started. But looks like it'll be a very good body for a swap. The quality on the body isn't as "perfect" as the hot toys body... but its still pretty good for $30

Here's a pic of the body:

It's all good man. :peace

:hi5:

Dig all of your recent pics too btw... and still in love w/ your custom painted MOS!! Still on my list of 100 things to get done!

Thanks man. :hi5:
MOS repaint is a must man...definitely do it when you can.
It's already one of the best HT figure, and with the repaint...I know it's been said a lot, but it really takes it to another level.

Agreed!! Everytime I see your pix and catch a glimpse of him off to one side I'm like dammit i need to get painting!!! Haha!

Looking forward to seeing that Thor figure, pro_design. Sounds pretty interesting.

Yea I'm anxious too! So po'd I busted the arm! But won't even know after its fixed! Partly anxious too as I have stuff in parts and the Mrs. Gets pissy when she sees me tearing apart expensive stuff!!

On a side note how do you think this body would look for Wolverine on the buffness front? The HT body was never bulky enough for my liking but if it's good for Thor it may not be for Wolverine.

the muscle side of it might work... but i think you'd run into problems tho w/ height. to be honest, the body is dam near the same height as the dw thor... and so is the muscle size... which i think might be on the too muscle side and too tall maybe for wolverine? if you can find a pic of thor close to a wolverine figure... that would be your best bet to see the size difference.

Thanks I'll have a look into it, look forward to your pics.
