Loved the movie This is the version I think I'll pick up. Armor got most of the action scenes. ALso he wore the cloak a lot in the film (although he didn't have the chainmail, you cant see his arms any way.)

I didn't think too much of Malekith as a villain. Pretty forgettable character, not much personality. And he only spoke like one sentence in English. Don't really need a figure. Would rather have one of the Dark Elves or the Asgardian soldiers at the start of the movie.

Aside from Loki, Sif, and Heimdall, the only other figure I want is Kurse. I'd love to see HT take a swing at him

definitely would like to see kurse

So....is kurse like....stronger than melekith? Those that have seen the movie should know what I'm talking about.

Its seems everyone who took the potion was at the time "the strongest".

Makes sense too, I think Algrim was stronger than Malekith in the comics (then even moreso after the Beyonder gave him the Kurse powers) so this kind of stayed true to the comics as best it could within the MCU stuff.

then...Why was malekith considered a threat???? After hearing how powerful Thor is from the comics...he's been SEVERLY neutered in the MCU. Seriously.

Kurse pretty much kicked his a$$...then malekith with his oh so dangerous aether came around, Thor was able to hold his own...but still needed help .

I liked the movie, but because of things like that, it bought my score down a few notches.

So LAME.

Marvel, please buff Thor by avengers 2 and Thor 3?? Stop making him low tier??

Or him! :goodpost:

Fully powered Thor would be like what people hated about MoS's destruction-fest.

I dunno....I feel like they could've been more creative setting up
loki's "death"
. It just felt lazy IMO. I mean, IT'S THOR for crying out loud! If they wanted to wall him, at least do it in a way where he doesn't get punk'd.

Eh, i know I'm nitpicking here, but it just doesn't make sense to have the second in command (was he even a second in command???) appear to be more of a threat than the actual boss!!

If they made him all powerful then the dramatic storytelling elements would go right out the window. Thor would then just be a web series of him smacking threats down then flying off like Cheadle's Captain Planet.

I don't understand how this movie got such good reviews. This is the 2nd Marvel movie in a row that has screwed up its villain. Iron Man 3 BASTARDIZED the Mandarin, and Malekith was bland as hell. The action was good. Particularly when the elves attacked Asgard. Had a Star Wars feel to it. The story was so bad IMHO. They did not even let Malekith come off as a threat. Even Thor's mother kicked his ***. In the last 3 Marvel films, The Avengers Included, the villain was no threat. It was their plot against the world. They need to produce a villain that is physically as well as mentally viable to these characters, and these villains need more of a presence in these films.
