I just want to keep reiterating this for everyone who's just now getting their Thor's. The paint peeling issue is a defect! You should definitely ask for a replacement.

It was my first time seeing/holding a Hot Toys in person, and I'm impressed with the amazing details!

Yeah same for me (as mentioned before). Really is awesome when you finally get one of these in hand!
Glad you finally got him :) I'm liking those pics

This is a long shot question, but if anyone here wants to sell the rock base please PM me! These are going for $100 and up on the bay...

I got my thor a couple weeks ago but i didn't have time to open it until last night. I quickly checked his shoulders but i didn't see any peeling on the top of it so i didn't remove all the protective covering. Should I have pulled off all the covering and checked the pits and the sides as well???

couldn't hurt to check but if it looks fine then your OK, I don't believe these arm issues are THAT widespread

Fellow Freaks,

Need assistance! So I have 2 Thor Light Armors on the way. I am wanting to sell one, but have some questions before I eBay:

1. I was planning on selling it w/o opening the brown shipper, but don't want my receipt w/ personal information in there. Is it possible to pull the receipt and keep the integrity of the shipper box?
2. If the body is damaged, can the second purchaser get it taken care of through SSC or do they need this original receipt?

Thanks guys!

You can peel of the labels, it takes time though. I've taken off labels and even the tape without ruining the box. That's why I always get double box so I won't have to.

Use caution when selling sealed items. I sold one and the buyer is having problems with the peeling. I had to get a replacement and then ship it to them so the shipping fees will add up if there is a problem. Apparently the replacement is also not adequate so I have no idea what to do from here. I definitely will never sell a sealed item again - everything will be opened and checked.

Wow that is very nice of you to go through the trouble to so that. I do not think many would go out of their way to do so. Good man.

Dude the way ebay is now you have to really cover your ass.
I sold someone a pair of Jordan sneakers and the guy told ebay they were counterfeit.
They weren't but ebay put a 450$ hold on my PayPal.
I was at the buyers mercy.
Luckily he withdrew his claim.
He could have really screwed me over if he wanted.

Companies like Ebay/Paypal/Credit card companies will always side with the buyer. We had someone order $650 worth of merchandise from our photography business a couple of years ago. Then 7 months later they changed their mind (they hadn't received the product yet because they were dragging their feet, but they had paid). Paypal took the $650 out of our account and gave it back to them. Ridiculous. But they paid through a CC, and their CC company was going to make them happy of course.

My twin brother sold his berserker a few years back on ebay and got screwed over. My brother is novice to these things and he did not get tracking. The guy said he never received the package, ebay gave the buyer a full refund and my brother essentially had his figure stolen. The buyer even had the nerve to leave negative feedback.

You need to take any and all precautions when selling on ebay, but even then u can still get screwed over since they cater only to the buyers needs. I will never hesitate to deny sale to a buyer who rubs me the wrong way be it unusual feedback history or strange messages sent to me.

I have only had to deny a buyer once, and he subsequently left me negative feedback. A month later he was banned from ebay and the negative fredback was removed, so it worked out in the end for me.

When you say he is having trouble with the pealing are you talking about the plastic covering on the figure it self. I definitely felt this figure was particularly time consuming to unbox, but nothing even a 9 year old couldn't figure out. If he is expecting excessive returns from you because he can't unpack it, you mite want to consider sending him a hammer next time and instruct him to beat it over his head until desired results are achieved.

Oh no it is the actual peeling of the rubber on the arms defect - I am not having problems with an unreasonable buyer just with the QC of the figure itself.
