Well, with any luck, that, hopefully, means that they could've also fixed the cowl, or, at least, the eyes, on the PERS sculpt.

So long as it's not due to lighting, parts of the breastplates and ab plates on the figure do appear to be gray, which is consistent to the suit in The Dark Knight. The armory is from that movie. Below is a promo pic from TDK.

The DX02 had similarly-colored breastplates, seeing as it was the suit from TDK. DX12 was the suit from The Dark Knight Rises. I'm kind of surprised Hot Toys remembered the difference.

Now see...If HT would do a Bale Batman that looked like this, I'd buy it...lol....(yes, I know it's a picture of the real actor)...

I guess from the very beginning it was supposed to resemble a hybrid of the DX02 and DX12, with a dash of the QS001. I'd be so friggin' happy if the figure looked like this promo shot.

I can't wait to read the *****storm and controversy when HT release their next Star Wars figure. Ppl in the SW forum are in for a real treat. ;)

This should really go in the Star Wars thread, but hey, I'm curious. You're a Sideshow fan, right? Are you rooting for or against Hot Toys when it comes to SW? So long as we get new figures at reasonable prices, the more the merrier, right?

I'm a fan of both, owning figures and having pre-orders from both companies, among others. I'm rooting for great figures from all companies all the time. But I'm a realist and know that issues come up for everyone - there's no such thing as an absolutely perfect 1/6 figure, design is a compromise. Some screw-ups are more glaring and egregious than others of course.

I think some folks who might not collect Hot Toys or have experience with their releases are in for a rude awakening when a future figure may not live up to their expectations.

Fair enough. What'd you think of DX07 Luke?

The only difference between the suits in Dark Knight and TDKR were the gauntlets. In Dark Knight the gloves straps are over the gauntlet, in TDKR the gloves are tucked into the the gauntlets.

It has issues, but I like the set a lot - I display both figures (swapped hair) as well as the weather vane. I think I own the same number of HT and SS figures, with more HT on display at the moment.

Cool! :clap I would love to own a DX07, but I arrived late to the Hot Toys game.

To anyone who owns a DX12, are the gauntlets removable? Do they stay on the arms fairly easily? If not, I hope Hot Toys includes some kind of wrist plugs or caps with the figure so they'll stay in place.

They are removable and yes, they stay on the arms well thanks to the fabric on the forearms.

If that's what the final product looks like, then I'm in (which I'd assume it would be, now that they've already shown the finished set), as far as Bruce Wayne goes. That sculpt and paintjob actually look pretty great, and Alfred looks terrific, as well. While I'm really hoping for, at least, some minor improvements to the Batman (I'm not optimistic about a brand new cowl, but I would like the eyelids to be repainted to avoid that googly appearance, at the very least). I've got to get those '66 figures in my hands first, but this will, hopefully, be next on the agenda, between those and Marty.

From the photos we've seen up until now, Alfred is one of the most convincing likenesses Hot Toys has ever done, IMO. Wayne is also unmistakable, but Alfred is a cut above.

Definitely. What is it with supporting characters? It's like, at least a select group of people have issues with the Jokers and the Batmen (often with good reason), but, when it comes to guys like Alfred and Gordon, and even Blake, they do an amazing job. As far as Blake goes, I loved TDKR, but I never really thought he'd have shelf appeal; enough that I'd want him, anyway, but seeing him with Gordon and the Batsignal, I was like "damn, he looks awesome."
