If you don't have TWS Winter Solider, you don't have the Winter Soldier.
Every time I think about selling this figure. I always look back at these pics. I hope to add rooted hair once I finish my commissions.

Must be the unideal lighting conditions as the repaint looks warmer than the CW version.

The lightingNot sure what you mean by "warmer" the repaint has more of a chrome look while the CW version is more of a bright reflective silver.

That's different though. CW Cap and Stealth Cap are both Steve just with different outfits and from different movies but the character is the same. TWS Bucky IS the Winter Soldier, brainwashed and ready to blow anyone's head off or ram a knife into Steve's shoulder ... or shoot him ... or repeatedly smash his face in with the metal arm. CW Bucky is Bucky with some Winter Soldier bits left (basically just the scene where he's triggered) other than that, he's mainly running and trying not to kill anyone. He even moves completely different than the Winter Soldier. Honestly, even in triggered WS mode, Bucky only felt half as scary and dangerous in CW to me. So, if I want the Winter Soldier on my shelf, being all deadly and awesome, I buy TWS version and if I want Bucky, I get the CW version. Of course I want both coz I love Buck and TWS so ...Can see why some folks would feel that way - for me it would be like having CW Cap but not Stealth Cap - just....no. Luv all my Buckys. IMO CW Bucky is far easier to work with than TWS Bucky. But agree that CW Bucky was pretty stripped down, as figs go. So was BP. Plus there seemed to be an excessive wait to get BP, Bucky, and Falcon in hand *frown*. And IMO head sculpts still need some tweaks.

Absolutely agree with you here except for the villain part but let's not go there again
I have TWS figure to represent The Winter Soldier, an MCU villain, and I have CW Bucky/TWS to represent Bucky. His role in TWS was way more lethal and intimidating in TWS, like you said. Full assassin model, absolutely no emotion nor remorse whatsoever for his actions.
At first I saw it like that too. But the more often I rewatched the movie the more disturbing that scene got. Not coz of WS though but coz of Pierce. He's not afraid, surprised at first, yes, but not afraid. He shows his superiority, offers him milk and of course WS is not gonna take him up on the offer coz he's just a thing and not allowed to have that or even say that, yes, he'd like to have some milk. And then Pierce just pours himself the tiniest bit of milk as if saying "hey, you want some milk? I don't but I'm gonna pour myself a bit anyway just coz I can and you can't."I like the scene where he was shrouded in darkness in Alexander Pierce's kitchen. Even though he was the one giving him orders, it almost seemed as if even Pierce was slightly afraid of him in that scene. TWS was dead silent and it seemed as if Pierce was unsure as to what he (TWS) was going to do.
Wow!! Thanks for all the responses. It's great. I really appreciate you all giving me your opinions on the figures. And here I was worried that I may not get any feedback!! hahahaha I love the passion of fellow collectors. Also, thanks for posting pics. They're awesome.
Well, after taking all of that info in, I'm gonna go for the Winter Soldier version.......... the hunt begins
