If this is indeed $275 like the Ancient Predator I'm not loving the price, but as a fan of the trilogy I'll still get it. The unfortunate thing is that I wanted the Ancient Predator but with other orders I can't take two payments of $275 close together.

Whew.

$275 for these exclusives, eh? Wow.

I really want to get this, having missed the first version but....gotta think about this.

Yes....it's an "exclusive" but....it features less than the previous version (I wish the "mask" were included as a separate accessory like the original release...really wanted to go with that "street corner" pose for display). And while the "features" go one about a head sculpt with an "upgraded" technique and a "brand new tailored slimmer fitting (!) costume", I'm not seeing these new "features" racking up this whopping increase.

Seems to be just he words "exclusive" and "Joker" being the big draw for them.

I want to be grateful for the chance to add this awesome character in a version I really like to my collection without resorting to the secondary market madness. But this is just another kind of madness....

Yeah, I want it but.....

If that truly is in the price range of this figure, then the figure is a complete freaking ripoff.

For me it's worth getting because I've almost bought the figure used before so a newer version of something I want is welcome. Plus it's one of those things where if I pass on it I'll regret it later. This doesn't come with less than the original release as far as I can tell other than the fact that the mask can't be removed.

Hot Toys - MMS 249 - The Joker (Bank Robber Version 2.0) - 1/6 - TF Exclusive...

$170 would be fair for this barebones release. I mean, come on. DX11 had TONS of crap that made the package great! Even then it was a little high for my liking, but an overall great set it was!

There'e no justification for any higher price considering it's pretty much the same exact thing as the last version. They can't justify it on any level! This just goes to show that HT can do whatever they want while people never question them. I'll keep my extra money, go do something else and look at my V1 BR Joker every blue moon, and think "Eh, good enough".

Realistically the DX11 came with more but not that much more. That had three guns this has two. That also came with three knives and the pencil, whereas this has one knife and the duffel bag with the twelve grenades. The main thing that this doesn't have is the interrogation table and chair. You get a deluxe style base minus the light up feature and the backdrop. It also has two head sculpts and the Joker cards plus stack of money. I think the DX11 is perceived as a better value since it's a DX whereas this is a MMS.

$275 is a joke if it comes in at that. If it does, HT has officially lost their damn minds. I wouldn't pay more than $225 for this. And thats STILL too high IMO. If its over that, I just saved some money.

:rotfl@ $275. That is totally and utterly insane.

Once I get the armory, I'm done with Hot Toys (unless they finally do something with the Returns license).

In all honesty, when will the HT price bubble burst? They are really going to start pricing themselves out of alot of collectors. Not that I think they care. Just curious when we will hit the roof on these things.

A flipper is only asking what the ***** fanatics are willing to pay.

Fine example:

If brainless "fans" are willing to pay THIS much, how is a flipper the one to blame? They are capitalizing on the idiots. It's as simple as that.

personally i think the fans and flippers have a lot of blame for prices getting out of control. there isn't 1 on eBay right now listed for under $360 and it hasn't really officially gone up for PO, atleast not through SSC. This is nothing new either, its always like this, especially for popular TF releases. People flip at really high prices, and people buy at really high prices. Every single release. Nothing new. So why wouldn't prices go up when companies see the demand is there at those prices. The Flipping is only 1 reason for price increases, there are dozens of others like manufacturing costs, but sometimes people have to look at themselves in the mirror and see who really needs to be blamed. Greedy fans and flippers need to take some of the blame.

Yup, agreed.

Can't blame Hot Toys and Sideshow for taking advantage of the people willing to pay the crazy prices. That's just how it is. I'm just curious though, what are people's limit in the end? We've all had these discussions for years, I still remember when we thought MMS 136 was too much at $180 just a few short years ago. Now that a regular MMS is pushing $300, how far will it go? $350? $400? Half a grand?

It doesn't bother me, I've spent frivolously before and I believe if you want something, it's your money, do what you want. But when does the bubble pop? When does everyone agree, "okay, $*** for a doll is too much"?

Probably won't burst for a long time. Too many fans. New fans everyday just discovering. Old fans can say they will quit but in 3 months they will have this BR joker on their shelves.

Also you said HTs and SSC taking advantage of people but really the fans take advantage of HTs selling for more $$ during even PO time. Flippers know fans clamor for wanting it first so already they take advantage of the lower retail price and flip it for more.

Unless comic books become extinct And no one cares about DC or Marvel, I just don't think there will be a bubble burst.

I don't understand why ht catch all this slack, there are companies like iminime selling figures for 4-500 bucks, there unlicensed and not as nice.if I owned ht and saw companies like them getting double what I charge I'm gonna up my price.i think we should be blaming those companies for upping the going rates, not hot toys.
