Nope, only that it got bumped back to August (got e.mail today advising my last flex was being moved from July 5th to August 5th). Same as my Iron Man MK III. Guess I won't be getting a lot of sympathy for that one 'round these parts, though! :lol

Sounds good to me...Hasbro always make sure their figures are 100% accurate....
I guess a delay was inevitable seeing as we haven't seen anything of Chewie.
So with these two delayed and the Scout Trooper delayed are there any Star Wars 1/6 coming out this summer???

Delayed til August?
Yet didn't we see pics of the solo headsculpt in full production courtesy of JC Hong last week?
Must be updating the Wook!

seriously

Sometimes I wonder how far fandom should go.

If chewie comes out looking like the photos, where the hair isn't a matted mess and looks in scale then they will have a winner imo (barring some horrific unseen issue).

IMO pretty much all the complaints about chewie are pretty minor. Like comparing the efx pcr stormie helmet to a honest full on 1:1 replica, where <10% detail can cost 50-100% in price.

There is nothing wrong with wanting 100% accuracy and being a complete replica fan, but imo one should temper their expectations to the realization that the 10% you believe is important doesn't matter to a lot of other people.

Obviously my opinion is just as valuable as yours, and only you choose what to spend your money on. I just don't think a rework of chewie is "seriously" needed.

Han is an awesome fig, the sculp just didn't scream han/ford... Something was off, SSC's Hoth has more of the Ford look but still seriously lacks in the realism area to me (still looks more like a figure than a "replica", like a lot of the HT figures do to me). The 2nd HT attempt is much better, to me its the the eye brow/expression more than anything that seem to make the recognition factor a ton better..

100% agree with this. A lot of collectors, especially Star Wars ones tend to take things to extremes.

Huh, the Kenner Chewie came with a bowcaster? I must have lost mine almost immediately as a kid because I don't remember him having one at all. Lol

The 12" figure did, but not the 3 3/4". That's just a gun, same as on my Chewbacca and the same as other images I've found online.

Harrison Ford is really hard to sculpt, I didn't think so until I decided to try myself a couple of days ago. And I've seen that even if you get a decent sculpt, the paint job can mess it up completely.

This is my attempt (WIP).

Hey Toshi how'd that sculpt update coming along ? Change the hair a bit and I'd say it's better than the HT version.
