what about shoving some cotton in the back the boot and evening it out with a tool?

What about Hot Toys not letting something that looks this bad make it out the door of the factory?

In the meanwhile, I'll try your suggestion and if it works out I'll post a pic of the fix. Thanks for the idea! I'm just a bit frustrated with the set. It's one thing to have to futz Chewie's fur but it's another to be driven to the point of replacing parts on a figure you've just spent way too much dough on.

The design of the boot is inferior. Stuffing and such will only go so far. If you have Han crouched, they'll look fine, but his expression doesn't lend itself to highly active poses.

A calmer casual pose suits his expression, but then he's standing up straight and the boots get pinched and wonky.

The brave amongst us could carefully cut along above where the stitching is ( leaving the stitched part at the front attached)and pull the back of the leg down and glue to the plastic foot / shoe. This would straighten the boot and any folds in the boot would occur in a more natural position.

Yikes! You'd have to cut all the way along the sides as well otherwise you'd get a tweak on the sides of the shoe where the pleather was pulled down. Then you'd have to re-stitch or you'll have a lot of tiny holes lining your boot.

Spend the $10 and get a pair of boots.

I don't disagree, but were trying to make solutions?

Do some of you regret getting Han Solo?

I am getting Chewy, but I am still on the fence on Han Solo, I hate seeing ball joints on Hot Toys, takes away the realism. However, If you get Chewy so sorta have to get Han, they go together like PB & J.

And most statues don't have as real of a paint job. So best to just deal with the joints. Figures will have joints.

I have a Sideshow Statue, and Hot Toys are more detailed (IMO) .. I have seen pictures where Han is wearing his gloves which you can slightly hide the wrist joint. If I get him I will just do that.

Great figure!!

Got the set today....Chewbacca is just outstanding....this guy? I'm sure I'll get to the "I like it" point, but it's not blowing me away like Chewie.

For one thing, can't take my eyes off those god-forsaken boots...just wow.

I'll keep checking back for new shots n' thoughts and offer up some of my own....

Got my two pack today.

This is a truly outstanding set. Han's likeness is infinitely better in hand.

I'll take HT Han any day of the year over that thing. No offense.

I don't get why people prefer sculpts like that or the Juan Solo cosplayer from the Hoth set. Hot Toy's sculpt may have its faults but it is parsecs better than those other sculpts.
