I thought he showed me i'm an ***** for collecting these. For me it's a fortune and i pose my figs with care. For it's the same as hasbro. Just a mans barbie. A simple toy.

Still it got a laugh out of me. He just doesn't know or care what it's worth. I don't understand people being offended by this. I take my collection seriously and enjoy it. But if someone destroys their 'dolls' good luck to them.

all I could think about last night after watching Harrison destroy his Hot Toys figure.. is all the LOLs to be had here on this forum afterwards hahahahahaha. Why is there not any hilarious GIFs yet? "THIS SCULPT IS UNACCEPTABLE" LOLOLOLOL. Pure gold. Anyone offended by Ford are just noobs / trolls. He reminds me of a cool person who doesn't know how to age. You know? It's like you're so cool and so important for so long.. and then you get out of the light, new guys come in and you start to get old and you just don't know how to age gracefully. He seems bitter and out of place. I don't think I've seen a single interview in recent years that he took it seriously. I kinda like feel nervous for him hoping he doesn't do or say anything irreversible haha. I think he's trying to have fun / be funny, but I kinda cringe and just kinda wish he would let go of wanting to let go of han solo, and just embrace it and try to be normal. But I guess it's also part of me that is selfish to wish he would be more heartfelt about some of the questions all of us fans want to know... because honestly he's dealt with it so long and I'm sure he just doesn't care anymore, so yeah maybe he should just do what he wants. He's a rad dude though. Too bad he couldn't be more positive about his Han Solo past. :)

He has struggled with drug and alcohol problems for years, so he's got his demons more than many. Carrie Fisher mentioned after HF got divorced a few years back that he's not an easy person to live with (though Carrie would be no picnic either.)

He did do a lot of forgettable junk amidst the classics, and he never did become quite the "serious" (ie. Oscar-winning) actor he might have been. He does seem a bit sensitive about not winning that Oscar, and he certainly doesn't seem to think of Solo as being his finest hour, yet it gets 50% of his press (and Indy gets 25%) and the same can't be said of the Tom Cruises or Tom Hankses in terms of being defined by one or two roles. But being an actor must be seriously weird, so I guess we shouid cut him some slack.

Has anyone made an attempt at lightening the hair? Wondering if that would bring out the likeness a bit more

Thanks for that reply Tali, put some things in perspective. I met carrie.. took a photo with her and she signed my Slave collar prop. She was drinking wine and put my EE-3 suggestively to her mouth and grabbed me by my waist haha. So yeah I got a good impression of her! Plus I hear her comedy is dirty ahaha. In any case I agree, all of these legends deserve all the slack in the world. It's often we look up so much to our idols and expect a perfect world of a perfect person, a lot of the greats (Across all things.. music sports acting etc) have battles just like everyone else and in some cases would make lousy real life role models. Harrison Ford is a legend whether he likes it or knows it. Just wish he could have a more positive outlook on his achievements. At least he appears to be having fun. Rad guy no matter how you spin it! There will never be another guy like him that's for sure.

More celebrities should do this. I swear, people treat these things as relics or some ****.

Imagine if RDJ did this..... I'd be his fan, forever.

The amount of IM Fanbois crying a river would be amazing.

I want to see:

Weller
Arnold
Keaton
Bale
Scarlett
Stan Lee
Etc etc.

It's a joke. Probably scripted. He acts like that on the late night talk shows but he did 2 other interviews that same day and he's totally normal.

Even if it wasn't scripted, to him a HT is no different to a $10 Hasbro toy and he wouldn't be able to tell the difference. Remember there are no likeness rights with SW figures for the actors and he's from that generation where toys are for kids to be played it. The irony is his figures helped create the "adult collector" mentality!

He should have stayed a carpenter ! That someone can be so devoid of gratitude for where he is and what comes with being a Hollywood star is beyond me. He should take a leaf out of JJ Abrams book. He has nothing but gratitude for where he is , the people he works with and what he gets to do. HF behaves like a spoilt little kid. I hope they do kill him off in the movie then he won't have to be part of these annoying talk shows, comic cons or whatever else he doesn't really want to be at.

It's only a doll.

Im not talking about the doll. Its his whole attitude in general. Give me someone who's grateful for where they are our what they're doing. No comment about the bitterness re: the academy award.

Isn't he also like the hardest autograph to get... because he just doesn't do them. I just think he ended up in a genre doing something he just doesn't care about. What I'd be interested in knowing.. is what is HIS passion? It'd be funny if it was something like collecting matchbox cars, sewing, or playing ping pong, something obscure to what he's known for haha

Apparently his passion is aviation. Flying airplanes and helicopters. Personally, I share his passion.

But the guy has always been one of the worst talk show guests ever. His interviews are like fingernails on a blackboard...

I can understand his point of view. He looks at acting as a job. Just like working construction or being a doctor or whatever. It’s something he does for a living, but it doesn’t define who he is. He’s not doing it for the attention or the fame. He does it because he’s good at it and it pays very well. The fame part (autographs, interviews) are an unfortunate by product of what he does. One could argue that the fame part is also part of his “job” as he puts it and therefore should “act” like a decent human being during interviews and when out in public. But there are plenty of actors out there who shun the spotlight and only like to focus on the acting. DeNiro is also famous for being very quiet and difficult to interview. Doesn’t DiCaprio also not do interviews? Johnny Depp too. Brad Pitt. They’re all very quiet men, possibly introverts, who would rather not deal with the fame side of things. Ford has a dry sense of humor and it can come off as being jerky because you can’t really tell if he’s joking or not. It also comes across more unusual because actors normally crave the spotlight and love attention, which could be part of the reason why they choose that career to begin with. They are a more gregarious, outgoing lot who love to talk. So when you see one that is the opposite of that, it’s strange and offputting.

Sure understand Lu. But if you sit me down and ask some questions about my job i can do that. If you give me millions of dollars to do my job I'll even talk about it late at night or on a weekend. I guess we're all messed up some way or another.

Entitlement is what's wrong with the world nowadays.

These actors don't owe anybody a god damn thing. He wants to be a ****** and he's getting paid millions? Couldn't care less.

From today daily newspaper from my country.
It says that Fallon brings cardboard doll Han Solo in studio to show how Ford broke his leg.
Twice in text it says it was cardboard doll HS. I must go to my room and open again my HS to check if
he is made from cardboard :lol
