Mine arrived yesterday, very happy with him.

what is everyone doing with their helmets? Or multiple in some cases?

flipping? building your own Vader? trying to put the HT head on the SS body (which I can't understand why)?

Putting it on the SS Vader of course. :yess:
Check out Chakamans custom. It looks amazing and something like that will keep you less hungry until HT releases Vader 2.0.

I didn't want to spend another $300 for a 3rd Vader. I figured for around $200 I could kitbash/upgrade both my ESB and ANH Vader figures with what i had and the HT helmets. I also picked up the cape and chestbox for my ANH version. I also had no nterest in the new sound feature or light up saber. It just made sense to go this route, at least to me anyways. I enjoy doing stuff like this, most people probably think its crazy. :)

I have some work to do on them still, but pretty happy so far.

But you're putting ANH Vader helmet on ESB body. There's some big differences. But whatever works.

Has anyone tried to remove the dome from the mask? While it is hard to tell from film stills due to the overhead lighting, I think the dome should be ever so slightly lowered to cover the top portion of the eyes. I wonder how difficult it would be to do this.

It might be that light hits the inside of the dome (face and neck reflecting) making it look like it's sitting higher compared to the source. when the lights off on my detolf and just using living room ceiling light. it seems to look much more accurate. 5 feet away and figure is on top detolf.

I'm also interested if someone did do some adjustments.

My replacement Vader belt came yesterday. I don't know why Sideshow replaced mine and not other peoples, but now that I got a new one I understand why mine was ripped...
Vader's-belt6547.jpg
As you can see in the picture the piece of plastic reinforcement on the ripped belt stayed latched to the buckle ripping a big hole in belt. The reinforcement piece was so secure on the buckle I didn't even know it was supposed to come apart there and originally thought the buckle was designed with that large flat edge to fit into a large square on the other side of the belt. The new belt latches and unlatches with ease and I am not worried about it ripping.

So, I finally was able to put Vader on my shelf replacing my SS Vader. I need to do lots of futzing to get him to look natural and not overly chunky, but I am pretty optimistic from other people's pictures that futzing makes a big difference with this one. I'm open to advice and suggestions. I love the light up saber. Still not thrilled with the hands but the pose I am using which tries to emulate the famous ANH promo pic doesn't draw attention to the hands.

Sorry for the poor cell phone picture... but here is my OT villains shelf...

For the people that did move the boxes closer to the buckle...were you able to move the saber clip as well?

I like how the gloves look. I never really liked the solid glove look it did not have any articulation in them and they never looked real enough and I never had any issue to me at all.
