For likeness I still like the Sideshow Ben best and it can shine with a repaint, even though the head's a bit oversized. The sculpt detail is not as good as the HT head, but it really looks like Ben Kenobi stepped off the screen to me.

Even though the outfit's got some issues I love the belt, hands and boots from the HT figure.

I agree the paint apps aren’t as detailed as HT, but I think the likeness is way better than the HT sculpt.

Something just seems un polished about the Sodeshow version. Likeness aside the HT one looks amazing

Yeah, it's what I said from the first time I saw the HT Ben - it's a remarkably finely detailed sculpt and the paint apps are incredibly lifelike (though they needed to get a bit of ginger into his beard) but it feels a bit too much like a generic old bearded man vs a "shrunken down Alec." It looks best with pretty harsh light which brings in some Alec. The SSC one, like many older SSC sculpts, is so much cruder in terms of sculpt detail (it's the kiind of sculpt where you can almost see where a sculptor crudely rubbed a sculpt tool into clay to make a frown line) - yet to me it really nails Alec Guinness' likeness. It's a good example of the tradeoffs you have to make in 1/6 - two heads, each with pluses and minuses, just comes down to personal taste.
