BR Bats Height comparison. I think the problem is BR Bats is too tall and not that 89 Bats too short, still I guess if you wanted 89 & BR Bats on same shelf you could use extra long ankle pegs to increase 89 Bats height.

Looking at my '89 Batman and Joker side by side, Batman is noticeably shorter. I wonder if this was a conscious decision by HT, as I believe Keaton is kind of a shorter guy.

Looking at your comparison pics of the new Returns Batman, he doesn't appear too tall next to the other figs.

Yeah, nothing wrong with admitting one was wrong, or deceived for poor pics. I, personally, find myself glad I was proven wrong and there's no harm in that.

I wish other members were like this, and not take everything personally as if Howard Chan and co. were their mom or something. The amount of people getting offended over stupid crap is amazing on these forums nowadays.

What the hell happened?


Anyway, ordered the set with $95 of FREE reward points that SSC gave away between Halloween and Christmas. I had a zero balance before that. Set ended up being about $250 plus whatever they decide to charge to ship this thing.

Please, someone tell me $250 is not bad because I'm having a bit of remorse having just paid a quarter of a grand for a Dollie set...

Once I saw Deanknight's incredible daylight video on him it was a must buy for me..you guys know I'm all about the articulation with HT and I know this will probably be a museum piece overall but who cares in this situation, , I'll risk it!

Nothing wrong with him in a museum pose for the most part in this case.

Anyway I should have him by the end of next week so I'll know for sure if he's worth it

Based on the emails people are getting from Sideshow on final flex payments not happening until early March, it looks that's not gonna happen, unfortunately.

Get both, it's Keaton Batman..he never will be Batman again, according to him this is an iconic collectible in cinema history.

Affleck is Affleck, but I'm still getting that Bats as well.

Depends on how much footage they show of the armored suit for me. If it's 50/50 it's hard to decide. That desert look is a pass for me, doesn't scream bats IMO, more like a masked G.I.Joe

It doesn't scream Batman but I have to say that figure looks incredible. I'd buy into that line if money were no object. But it is for me so I'm sticking with childhood Batman - Keaton.

I hear you, but I was referring to the desert version. The reg affleck suit is a must buy, anyone who is a fan of Jim Lee's Bats and Arkham's console design should not pass this up

As far as Keaton, the only thing preventing me from fully pulling the trigger was the lack of articulation like dx09 but once DK showed us that natural sunlight video, I was hooked! There is enough of detail and care that HT focused on in the design and sculpt of BR that will make up for the lack of articulation I won't get.

For me the trench coat Batfleck is a very fresh look on screen. I'm think it's a cool deviation and a nice nod to the Elseworld stories, mostly towards Gotham by gaslight and a bit of Red Son.
I'm hoping they are using the same mechanism for the so called "Knightmare/Apocalypse" trench coat Bats and the regular release so the eyes, and face plates are interchangable. I'm also betting this version will come with an unmasked head.
Obviously I haven't seen the movie yet, and I don't think Ben Affleck can top Michael Keaton's performance. Still, Batfleck is the first time we see a live action Batman that stays true to the original comic costume. Although being a Zack Snyder movie I wouldn't be surprised. He rarely comes up with any original.

To be honest I'm looking to see how Affleck portrays Wayne..I never thought Wayne was represented well in any of the batman films.
