Keaton sculpt looks to be about 80% likeness. Everything else looks great but that's easy to say since it's pretty just like the first version which was fantastic besides the cape.

I kind of prefer the cape of the DX 9 but, anyway, I never saw it in-hand

the stock 89 cape sucked unless the wire was taken out. I couldn't get a natural drape with it and i didnt have the stones to try cutting out the wire. I shelled out for a TM cape and didnt regret it. This figure has a great cape assuming its not just a proto cape and we get nothing close to that cape.

^I'm really hoping the stock cape is good too... I ended up getting a TM cape for my DX09 as well, but it'd be nice to not have to upgrade a HT cape for once.

^I'm really hoping the stock cape is good too... I ended up getting a TM cape for my DX09 as well, but it'd be nice to not have to upgrade a HT cape for once.

Yeah the dx9 proto cape looked nice but was nothing of the sort in hand. This better not be the case again. If someone like TM can make a quality cape, than surely a company like HT with their money and resources shouldn't have a problem doing it.

The DX-09 cape swap is one of those things--like the Man of Steel collar adjustment--that has always struck me as much ado about nothing. I like the DX-09 cape fine. Maybe it's because my DX-09 is in a museum pose, but I think the stock cape looks great. (As for the Man of Steel's collar situation, I'm not taking an x-acto knife to my $200 figure to make it look 1% more screen accurate.)

Looking at the figure slowly.. it is a very high quality product.

The suit looks both more accurate and more posable than the DX09 I have, even if the DX09 depicts a more iconic look.

I did not plan to get Returns Batman, only praying to have Catwoman and Penguin released, which seems difficult to happen in the next 5 years, but looking at the suit and the release price for the standalone Returns Batman figure, it is tempting.

If only they had released more original mouthplates, as has been pointed out, I may have preordered already...

Just receive an email from Hot Toys announcing this 2-pack. The same pictures posted here, are the ones on their web-site. If that means anything. So... I'll stick with just the single Batman figure. No BW...

Hmm, looking at that comparison it does look like HT made the head a bit too narrow, and the cowl isn't as tight around his face as it could be. But oh well, I could still live with it.

Yeah, I don't imagine this will be a huge seller. Nor do I imagine they will make a large edition size. Nor do I for a moment believe there is some huge fan base for this film that doesn't already have the first Batman and who, as posted here many times, is already second-guessing their need to get this. Even at a reasonable HT price. So a small pool to draw from is becoming even smaller.

If this "sells out" quickly it is not necessarily an indication of a huge fan base... it could simply be an indication of just how few they are making.

I imagine if this was released when batman was selling fast we would have seen the glider.
