It's not a notice about figures but a description of the movie and story.

I just posted about this perceived lack or change in hot toys behavior in the Ripley thread in aliens:robots section. It's just not the case. From 2000 thru 2010 they did 125 total non marvel figures. From 2010-2015(thru this year) they have 125ish. I listed both periods. Photos of the 2000-10 figures and a list with sku of the 2010-15 figures. They have actually nearly doubled the pace of non marvel figures in the last five years over the previous to that 10 years

@ Motuxmen: Thanks again for your insights! These are hard numbers. It's good to know that the supposed Marvel bias is just totally BS.

For those complaining about the lack of the glider. Take another look at this picture and imagine the span of this thing and the size of the cabinet needed to display the figure.

Thanks Motuxmen, but those figures are meaningless unless you also include the number of Marvel figures produced. I daresay that has increased at a much greater rate.

Edit: Ah, I see that's your next project. Be interesting to see the results.

Also, HT's action figure output didn't really start to take off till the mid-Noughties (Batman Begins, Superman Returns etc.)

For me it's not so much Marvel bias as superhero bias, but I guess the reality is most action figures in general are based on superheroes.

i'd never use it. Same as the wingspan thing of the dx09

Same here. The glider is cool but I wouldn't use it either.

I watched both the Burton films yesterday to see if my feelings on this film have changed. I have to say while the first is still awesome Batman Returns still is overall a very weak sequel. I think if it was a straight up Batman and Catwoman film it would be a lot better, but the stuff with Penguin and Shreck really drag it down. There are a lot of cool things stylistically about the film but it overall doesn't hold up.

That's interesting! Is this a reliable store?

I bought from them once, the Bruce Wayne figure from the Armory set. It shipped fast and in good condition. That's the only purchase I've made from them though. I think shipping was around $20 to USA.

I thought it was a very intelligent way of introducing a villain that could otherwise be a challenge to bring into a live action film.

Some interesting articles have been written about Batman Returns and about the Penguin in particular. This one suggests a Jewish link:
