She looks good but I don't care for the expression on her face.

This is his last attempt to Catwoman. Sean's work is awesome.

If only I could explain my gf that it's not insane to pay 1000 dollars for this...

After waited so long, it's sad to see this Bruce wayne head sculpt fail. But the Batman head sculpt is nice, as the precedent Batman. It's a prototype and Hot Toys have send us many surprises... some good (Tony Stark Workshop head sculpt) and some bad (Tony Stark Mark VII head sculpt). So let's see this time if we'll have a good surprise!!

Honestly I think a big part of the problem with the Keaton sculpt is the hair. That seems to throw it off quite a bit. That and just thin out the face and it'd look good in my opinion.

I wonder if Hot Toys makes their decisions on what characters to produce based more on what the Asian market will buy than what the US market will buy?

precisely.... the Asian market must be huge. Also other new markets like Brazil. US must still be on top, but, not a decision-driver anymore?

All of us know that Batman from Burton is not a big deal in Asia... but in USA?? Not big enough for Hot Toys?

and Europe... Burton is a big seller here.

Maybe its just the fact that more and more people are getting into this hobby. And the customers are more mass demand orienting, less niche.

Maybe its just the fact that more and more people are getting into this hobby. And the customers are more mass demand orienting, less niche.

Nail on the head I think. It's these newbs that are to blame with their attention spans that don't go back more than 7 years.

It isn't Hot Toys' fault that Marvel films are successful and that their products sell. They're a business and will do what makes them money. It's silly to act as though that shouldn't be their main focus when there's clear demand for it.

As for not getting figures from films beyond seven years ago, while it is true there aren't as many there's been quite a few solid releases over the last few years. Just off the top of my head we've gotten or are getting: Batman and Bruce Wayne from Batman Returns, Mime Joker, Ichabod Crane, Marty McFly, the DeLorean time machine, Eric Draven, John Matrix, T-800 (battle damaged versions from both The Terminatorand Terminator 2), 66 Batman and Robin, Robocop, ED-209, battle damaged Robocop and Alex Murphy, Elder Predator 2.0, Celtic Predator 2.0, Ancient Predator 2.0, and plus all the Star Wars figures. So while they focus a lot on modern and Marvel in particular we've gotten a reasonable amount of classic figures still in my opinion.

That's why I said the newb collectors are to blame - i.e - not Hot Toys.

Also, 100 pages for Difabio to catch up on if he comes back!

yeah sean's work is unparalleled but i couldn't afford a 900 bucks for the penguin. I never asked how much for catwoman.
