1/6 Hot Toys - MMS 301 - Avengers: AoU - Scarlet Witch Figure (full pics/specs)

Yeah, it's such a selective time, but Star Wars are my favourite movies and Hot Toys NAILED it with Luke! They also hit it out of the park with Obi-Wan, but I think I'll be passing on him right now. I'm a huge fan of McGregor's Obi-Wan, so I'd love it if they made one of him...but that'll open up the doors to the prequels, where I'd also want Qui-Gon, Padme, and Darth Maul...at the very least!

So there's lots coming out, and I really don't think Pietro spoke to me enough that I need to have a $300+ figure of him immortalized in my collection. If he was a future player, well that'd change everything...but considering he's one and done, it makes it a bit harder to swallow the need.

well as for me, i'm all in for the AOU.

I don't think I'll get any of HT's SW line. I've been getting versions of all the characters my whole life. These are great but there's nothing new, nostalgia wise, here for me. Marvel give me great versions of characters, and I've come to the realization that I mainly get hyped for them because they give me cool figures of some of my favorite actors. I haven't been into a female figure since Sarah Connor, but this figure of Scarlet Witch is gamechanging. It's only her second day and the feeling is still fresh. She is a home run, and I can't wait to get both her and Quicksilver for the shelf. To celebrate, here is some cool fan art I found.

Yeah, I passed on all the Sideshow Star Wars figures, and while I have a lot of the action figures from when the Special Editions and prequels came out a decade or so ago, I don't have any major collectibles for them (aside from Obi and Darth Mythos statues) so these will be fresh additions! I understand the reasoning you're talking about though, which is why I've got a good portion of the Avengers Hot Toys already! And I'm definitely not done on that track either.

It's just figuring out what's important...Pietro will be a wait and see. It'll be hard to justify it though, but these boards are also a bad influence! That picture you found is great, and showcases their relationship. I'm 90% sure he'd be a shoe-in if he was involved in later movies...it's his quick death (no pun intended! :O) that's making me hesitate.

The headsculpt is great. I don't own one hot toy that looks exactly like the actor/actress and I own well over 60 figures. Some are close to it but there is not one I'd say is perfect. Her headsculpt is very close to looking like the actress. Good enough for me. Your never gonna get perfection in 1/6 scale. IMHO.

I'm in for Star Wars and some of these AoU figures lol. Though they can be spread out quite a lot considering we'll be waiting a while before these figures are released.
Also in for GotG, but already paid for 3 of those and Gamora isn't too expensive compared to a lot of other figures.

Well this is it. After years of collecting other cheaper collectibles and admiring Hot Toys from afar, this is the figure that finally broke me. She's perfect! I'm definitely going to get her, and I suppose Sideshow's payment plan will make it a bit easier.
Now I've got a few months to pick up some other Avengers to welcome her when she arrives...
