Re: Hot Toys - MMS - Avengers: AoU - Quicksilver figure discussion

Thats a lot for a very bare bones figure. His character was cool, and he is a one and done, but I think his main appeal is for the completionists and those who went with the will they/won't they release him hype.
Don't get me wrong it is a great looking figure, but for the price he should have something more with him. I guess it is the inevitable Avengers Tax.

Well $42 in reward points just became available. Used them to knock down the price a little on this guy. Pre ordered and FINALLY down with the AOU line.

Just put up Drax's pre order so I can be done with HT's for awhile.

After the Avengers 1 and 2 complete lines, I'm not getting any other variations of the characters. I'll see what comes out from Phase 3 and the DC BVS line.

$200 has been the baseline for a HT 1/6 scale figure for quite a while now. At what point are people going to stop being flabbergasted that a barebones figure starts there?

Re: Hot Toys - MMS - Avengers: AoU - Quicksilver figure discussion

PO him from SSC, at least I will get $10.50 back and no NRD. I would like to know how many customers SSC are losing due to the NRD. They lost five figures from me already just for that reason.

Re: Hot Toys - MMS - Avengers: AoU - Quicksilver figure discussion

There was no "flabbergastion", it was merely my opinion. I was just comparing it to things like Maria Hill, only $10 more and that was a Toy Fair exclusive (as well as avengers related which always adds a bit too) and she at least has a gun and a radio. Gamora is $10 cheaper and she comes with 2 swords. I just think they could have thought of something to add, or made him a little cheaper.

Re: Hot Toys - MMS - Avengers: AoU - Quicksilver

$210 with nothing?! HT is really pushing... Similar case with Leia.

Re: Hot Toys - MMS - Avengers: AoU - Quicksilver

I think this hobby is out of control $210 for just a doll with no accessories. Crazy. I have the money to buy this, but will not. At some point I have to say enough and stop paying ridiculous prices for bare bones figures. Major mark up for a secondary character. I know people can make all sorts of excuses for their action figure addiction, but that is what it is. This will probably not sell out anytime soon. Most do not anymore. Wonder why???? crazy prices.
