-shy wave- Hi, newbie here!

Now that Scarlet Witch has been released in Hong Kong, does anyone have a rough idea of when Quicksilver's going to be released? Does anyone have an approx. date for their last flex pay on Sideshow?

Eh, I stopped watching as soon as they referred to the twins as C-List Avengers in the comics. Ok, I can see Quicksilver being C-List as he's been more involved in the X-universe being part of X-Factor, but Wanda has always been an Avengers mainstay. Sure, she's not as popular as the big 3, but there's a reason they're the big 3 and A-List. She has, however, been part of the team since their 2nd line-up with Hawkeye, has deep relations and friendships with other members, and has been involved in the majority of their biggest storylines, so for me, including Wanda in your Hot Toys Avengers line-up is a no-brainer. In fact, comics-wise, Wanda's been more of an Avenger than Widow..

Bitching about hot toys pricing while standing in front of 10 grand worth of hot toys that half are repaints (I'm a HUGE iron man fan, don't get it twisted) is completly hollow. Throw in the foam HPP that costs 3000k and these guys should not be bashing what you pay for your toys nor telling someone there's better stuff. Quicksilver is an actual figure for 220..the HPP is a box. For 120ish. Each.

Just pointing out the hypocrisy.

Iron man was a b level character until the movie. It's why marvel still had the rights. No one wanted them. SW and QS where Lower tier characters in the comics. Being the focus of one majorly story line doesn't make you a bigger overall character. Otherwise onslaught and legion and bishop and ultron and others would be considered higher level. Popularity is what A list and B list is. It's a term taken directly from popularity ratings.

I'm not saying that's how I personally see or feel. But it's just how it is.

Eh, they actually referred to them as C-Rated, not C-List, so my bad. But even so, from the context of that discussion in the video, I don't think they were referring to popularity as the guy on the left explicitly states that it's based on "comic book history." And I never said Wanda was the focus of one major storyline, but rather she's been on the roster for basically all of the defining Avengers storylines, so for them to refer to her as a C-Rated Avenger as far as "comic book history" goes (and not popularity) just invalidates anything further they have to say for me.

That whole C vs A discusion is popularity.(if I recall correct the one dude specifically said "cooler"..it's all about popularity, or likeability or interest) It's not issues in or time on a team or power. There are plenty of others that where on avengers that where not A list. There's characters that are stronger then stark and Wanda but not considered A list (sentry for example). I'm not saying it's right, or the way it should be. It's just what it is. Visions in the same boat.

Now if the character becomes popular on film then she may get that higher status. It's exactly what happened to iron man, and the other avengers for that matter.

I haven't talked about strength or powers or any of that... and I haven't said Wanda is A-List, but she's definitely not C-list.

Yes, if you want to strictly speak in terms of semantics and definitions, then "A vs C" etc. is defined in terms of popularity, but in the video, if they're defining it in terms of "comic book history" then that's what I'm judging them for.

And if they were speaking of it in terms of popularity, then that definition is fluid since Iron Man, as you said, became more popular after.

What are we even discussing here?

:lol I know right? But honestly I really don't care what people say. At the end of the day...I buy for myself and that's all really matter! :goodpost:

Lately Danoby has been very hypocritical with his reviews, we all know he has a huge Ironman bias, despite (as pointed out) that the majority are repaints/kit bashes of other armors. When reviewing Widow, Captain or any other character he complains that they are clones and the price is too high etc...
Its true, prices have gone up and most character's accessories are low, but quality in craftsmanship; tailoring, painting and sculpting have improved greatly. I cant help but get new versions of many characters, I recently got AOU Hulk, Maria, and Cap and cant wait for Civil War Widow, Wanda, and Hawkeye. My most repeated figure? Widow lol Ive gone through every version. Characters I skip due to budget: Warmachine, Vision, Bucky,Quicksilver and all the new Ironman so that I can get Hulkbuster
