Yeah, but he still had to die for it.

And as I've mentioned elsewhere, I think old George was stretching the narrative like a mofo. You don't come back from what Anakin did, unless you accept that he was literally controlled by Palpatine the entire time and totally devoid of free will. Which is also a bit of a stretch, given how Star Wars appears to be set up.

Anakin was meant to do all the evil he did. The Force uses him to help Palpatine so he can then destroy him.

Brilliant writing.

Just bringing some cool shots around again...

I posted this awhile back.

What do you mean by *traction*?
That JJ Abrams has posted that he is running with an awful fan theory? Otherwise, it's just fanboy speculation.
And shall be treated as such till the next SW movie comes out, lol.

Traction as in "other sites which report news about comics/movies/games are also running it as a possibility". Hell, isn't everything fanboy speculation? She's Luke's daughter. No, she's Obi-Wan's Granddaughter. He's evil. No he's not... It's all mindless speculation based on one or two scenes (depending which one fits your head cannon). I don't see what's so bad about it that everybody got all "blasphemy!". Crazy stuff happen all the time.

Doesn't anybody remember the time folks were dead-certain that Kylo was a remodeled Revan and that the Sequels would draw from KOTOR? Doesn't anybody remember when sites were sure Red Skull was in TWS? Or that Adam Warlock was in GOTG? I'm not saying you have to support the theory, it's just not that outlandish is all I'm saying. Kylo's definitely "hiding" something. Again, IMO...

That's the nature of nerd-movies. People come up with their "theories"/hopes/whatever until they get their answer in the movie. At this point, neither me, you nor the guy across the street knows what's going to happen. All we can do is speculate. I just choose to believe that they are going to take the story to a newer direction rather than the usual one. Just my 0.02$...

Not sure who would actual believe that, though I'm certain there were some. But going by the films, they are fairly repetitive in their expression of the familial theme and have never delved deep into EU or comics. The films come first -- while the EU is decimated by a simple studio declaration. Even the man who created the universe to start with said he never invested much in EU.... so why would anyone think that the movies would pull from it?

Yeah, I never bought the Revan stuff as well (mainly because it made no sense to adapt KOTOR in the "modern" age), but still, some believed it. That's my point, tons of theories fly around the net. Some might turn out to be true, to an extent, some might not. Some might be dead on the money. Personally, I'm not a huge fan of the "sleeper agent" theory, but I can see it working is all I'm saying.

As for the EU, as sad as it is, it's true. But I don't see Disney erasing anything Marvel related. Some are saying Finn is also Han's son, from his marriage back in his smuggler days (pre-ANH), which was revealed in the new comic. I don't buy that, but who knows? All I know is that I'd like for them to deviate a tiny bit from the fall/Ascension story. Do something in between. But maybe that'd be more suited for an anthology film.

I thought FN#### had a number because he was a clone -- he never had any other name or life apparently. Just a change of heart.

I really think Han's black wife was total marketing misdirection.

Just bringing some cool shots around again...

Thank you for the pics. I'm all about discussing a movie, but in the proper thread... not a figure thread!!! Seems alittle messed up to me that you have to go through 3-4 pages before find anything related to the HT Kylo Ren figure which is what this post is supposed to be about.

Yes, and he died for it. Exactly my point, thank you.

He died from force lightning 30 years later. Kylo getting close to Snoke to kill him falls in line perfectly with his admiration of Vader and "finishing what he started" by killing Snoke and ending the sith

It's too on the nose. Might as well call Episode IX "Return of The Jedi...Again"

Kylo is angry at everyone for abandoning him...

JJ is showing what happens to children who are not raised by loving family...... They can become seduced by any powerful figure who takes an interest and can be made to do things that should normally horrify them. Just like modern day Jihadist....

No daddy....
No mommy

and my guess is Uncle Luke was not the best influence either....

Enter Snoke..... and promise to mentor him (pay attention to him)

It really not hard to see this is what they are going for......very obvious.

Except Snoke started corrupting him as a young boy. So the rest of this doesn't make a ton of sense lol. They sent him away because Leia realized what was happening.

And to the other discussion, we already know what he is referring to when he says he will finish what Vader started. It's to "destroy the resistance and the last Jedi".

It's a new program where they are raising kids from early childhood to be storm troopers. So not clones. And they explained the whole Han's black wife thing like two comic issues later. It was a fake marriage for a money scheme but then Han bailed with all of the money. They never actually got married.

Yes! I definitely feel the shades of ISIS and the internet corruption of youth in Kylo.

Yep. According to the novelization, Snoke convinced him Vader failed because he allowed the Light to sway him in the end. That's why it was so important for Kylo to kill Han. In doing so, he destroyed the one person who could probably bring him back to the Light.

At this point Kylo is irredeemable.

Oh, OK. Still, most people don't read -- they just see a black woman called Mrs Solo and immediately call Finn... Finn Solo.

What's the easiest way to confuse kids on the internet when you need to keep a secret? Lie.
