I don't think she was ever referred to as Mrs Solo. And the entire thing was in a comic. It isn't something ever talked about outside of the comic. And it was explained like two weeks later who she really was. And it really wasn't marketed at all. If anyone was confused by it I blame them for not researching the matter.

Yep. According to the novelization, Snoke convinced him Vader failed because he allowed the Light to sway him in the end. That's why it was so important for Kylo to kill Han. In doing so, he destroyed the one person who could probably bring him back to the Light.

At this point Kylo is irredeemable.

You seemingly completely forgot about his mother. The one he hasn't shown to have a bad relationship with. In the novel he even abruptly interrupts Snoke when he mentions her name.

I thought FN#### had a number because he was a clone -- he never had any other name or life apparently. Just a change of heart.

After Finn's "treason" at one point Kylo threatens to replace Hux's army with a clone one if he can't keep them under control.

Honestly I don't see him finding redemption, which is good because it separates him from Vader and consolidates him as a truly evil character.

I'd like for Rey to take him out and for Luke to take Snoke out.

That was my point really. Disney and JJ sent a lot of stuff out there to 'misdirect' the masses. Like that preposterous "outline" that many people did buy.

I was going to hold off and wait for the (inevitable) unmasked portrait, but now I'm wavering between just picking this one up. I really like the design. I think Adam Driver/Kylo Ren has an opportunity to create a villain that could rival or even surpass Vader. With Vader you had this ominous, mysterious and powerful person behind a mask, which was part of the mystique because we could only imagine what he looked like. Then you saw the horrifically scarred head in Ep V, but only from behind which hinted at the backstory. And sure the final reveal was a bit of a "really that's who's under the mask?", but nevertheless it was cool. TFA is in some ways setting up the type of descent into evil that Anakin to Vader should have been if the PT had been better written. I'm hoping they continue to evolve the armor to make it more ominous, powerful and cooler than Vader's as opposed to just riffs on the same costume over the next two installments.

Actually, Vader's redemption begins in between ANH & ESB when he learns Luke is his son. In ESB he's already done with Palpatine, he just doesn't have it in him yet to quit the Sith completely. Like a drug addiction, he's basically weaning himself off the Dark Side slowly. The Emperor's attack on Luke just forced him to make a choice already.

The Call Sheet was 100% legit. There are things that were in it that are in the novel but aren't in the movie. It just means some things got cut during production, and then other things got edited out.

No clue about Finn I don't think we know that much about the First Order yet just what we have in the VD and "Before the Awakening book". I'm guessing it's just the children of people who were loyal to the empire who willingly gave up their child. Finn has no connection to any known character though if that's the discussing i walked in on.

What I did read was all wrong... especially the opening scene with Luke's saber hilt from the ESB fight with Vader still floating in space where it is picked up. The saber crosses the screen much like the Imperial cruiser did in the ANH opening (rubbish).

The thing floating around was the call sheet leak in various forms but it was filled with code words for various places/people/things. We didn't get the full thing until a couple of months ago from Millenniumfalcon.com. Up until then we just had some interpreted version from MakingStarWars.Net that they got from IndieRevolver. And if the other 99% of it turned out to be completely legit, it's fair to assume so was the opening saber floating thing. It was probably just scrapped. Like I said there are things in it that are in the novel that aren't in the movie. Meaning they were in the screenplay but got edited out of the film.

Michael Ardnt's original screenplay is referenced heavily in the Art of TFA book. Some notable differences:

-Luke was in the entire film
-Han didn't die
-Rey was called Kira
-Anakin's lightsaber was the MacGuffin
-Poe was black and his name was John Doe
-Finn was White and his name was Sam

Agree but I somehow feel v2 is coming with Driver sculpt.

Wouldn't be surprised if it were two distinct Driver-portraits in the inevitable next version...a regular one and a "battle-scarred" one. Wouldn't be a stretch to expect the whole figure to have a "battle-damaged" appearance to it.

This version looks really good. The textures and detailing are really showing up in the shots we've seen so far....

Yeah no kidding lol, made me chuckle too. Vader was an absolute boss in ESB, Kylo Ren is like a tantrum throwing toddler. Maybe he'll be a good villain in the future after his training is complete, but right now he can't even touch Vader.

I've recently gotten in on the theory that Snoke is Darth Plagueis, would be awesome if true. The master of Sidious could be the villain the new trilogy needs.

The brainwashing is strong with this film. I'll admit it was a little better the second time I saw it but that's because you just can't think at all when you watch it, you have to let your brain go to moosh and then it's ok.

I still laugh when I hear the (training not complete argument). Even if they brought back darth maul, he still wouldn't be Vader status, but he would be the closest thing to Vader.
