Road Blaster has been defending TFA more in the last week than me defending the PT in the last month.

I'm not sure about that but at least i didn't start 6 threads about how TFA is better than original trilogy.

i think nostalgia sways A LOT of opinions, especially with something like this.

at this point, i see no sense in comparing them. as long as they're better than the prequels, who cares.

i loved the force awakens. for me, personally, it was a lot more enjoyable than the originals. but liking the new movie more doesn't mean the old ones are in any way bad. i don't think this new one should have to be defended.

oh well, i'm excited for this figure. it can't come soon enough.

I thought it was AMAZING but I still think ESB is #1. TFA is a very, very, very close second in my book

I still love the original trilogy I just think The Force Awakens is a lot better.

I never said the PT was better than the OT. Was only three threads that everyone lost there minds over. I just see you posting in every thread how TFA is better than the OT Its funny that you don't take heat for it.

TFA is my 3rd favorite Star Wars film. And I'm fine with that.

Ironically my main complaint with TPM back in the day was that it was too much like a Disney film.

Complainers make the most noise by their very nature. That's why "the prequels suck" isn't a universal opinion even if it seems that way (though I dare say more people dislike the PT than TFA).

I concur with this.

Even though for me personally, RotS is one of my top 3 favorite SW films of the entire saga, but as an aggregate whole, the PT felt more Disney-esque than TFA does. I personally have no major quarrel with the PT trilogy though, as I enjoyed and still enjoy the films. Liam Neeson as Qui-Gon was awesome, Ewan played an exceptional younger Obi-Wan, SLJ was good as Windu and Christensen was decent as Anakin; decent in AotC and better in RotS. While again as an aggregate whole, they aren't as good as the OT or TFA, I think they served their purpose which was essentially to merely provide a back story to the line, "No...I am your father."

Now, that line doesn't seem as shocking anymore because yes, he is.

If I absolutely had to compose a list as far as my personal favorite Star Wars films, it would probably be as follows:

1. RotS
2. RotJ
3. TFA
4. ESB
5. ANH
6. TPM
7. AotC

1-4 are all pretty much neck and neck though.

Duel of the Fates was better, but TFA was better overall.

There are a lot of things I like about the prequels. Obviously, there are things I don't. I still liked the films though, especially RotS.

However, I will admit, I have been an on-and-off again fan since Lucas decided to start drastically altering the OT when the dvd set was released. He took it even further with the Blu Ray collection.

The Force Awakens has revived the magic for me and I've ultimately come to discover I'm quite content with the changes, oddly enough. It could be the hype train amplified by the much needed hiatus. Or, perhaps, it has more to do with maturing over the years.

Yeah scratch that. TFA was better than ESB. ESB was really good towards the end. This was really good throughout. Kylo is starting to become my favorite villain. I still love Vader though.

I agree regarding ESB. It started really kicking up I'd say when Solo and party landed at Cloud City. Although the Dagobah scenes with Luke and Yoda were awesome. Before Cloud City, it was essentially the Hoth segment and then Han and party chilling on the Falcon.

I do like Kylo's masked voice better than Vader's though. I like the slight effect to it.
