Your display is glorious, I love the less is more mentality! At the risk of going OT, what lights are you using?

Also, my Kylo arrived last week and he's in my display now. It's getting a little packed though, I'll post a pic later! The figure, however, is amazing.

All thanks to xipotec! https://www.sideshowcollectors.com/...tolf-build-custom-led-setup-instructions.html

Packed is good! more so when you have something like Groot/Vader/Ren/Hulk/Chewie etc. who towers the regular sized figures.

I dont really love how you have to mess with this tiny zipper every time you want to turn his saber on and off. Also, I wish this thing were brighter. I have a cathode one for my Vader and it blows this this led saber away. Other than that, despite his very simple design, he really looks awesome.

Anyone know of a way to deal with the wrinkled tunic?

Are you sure the batteries aren't being drained or working properly , from many pics I see the blade just as bright as Vader's saber, just you have to see it as this is a saber that is designed to be jagged with a yellowish red tone instead of a single red toned cathode like Vader

Love him. Need to tweak the pose a bit.

It's good enough, however when you pose him like that I would rather tilt the head up a little bit more and change the non saber hand to a fist or the grab hand because it puts more depth into the pose but that's just what I would do :wink1:

I can just feel the switch through the sleeve. I put the zipper at the bottom edge of the arm so it's not in the way, and then you can just feel for the switch to turn it off and on.

Well I got mine yesterday and although a great figure his batteries were dead right outta the box which stinks, also his robes are pretty wrinkled and I'm not sure how to smooth them out since he has that sort of rubbery material that I would NOT want to iron.

You probably already tried this... but just in case... when I first put the batteries in, the saber would glow but really, really faintly. I thought I had a bum saber. But then I double checked the batteries and I somehow put the batteries in backward. I reversed them, and it worked just fine. I was a bit surprised it even turned on with the batteries reversed.

Was there no illustration on the guide that says how to insert the batteries? I'm not judging you, just curious :dunno maybe you couldn't wait :lol

You know what im talking about when I say cathode saber, right? It was custom made by pixelpiper on this site. Its totally impossible for Kylos saber to be as bright as any cathode.

What I mean is you can see how the light dies the further away it gets from the led. That doesnt happen with cathodes. Theyre super bright all the way to the tip. I wish this was like that.

Hmm that's interesting, can you tell me why it has that yellowish tint in some of the pics I've seen in hand. Perhaps the mix of two colors could explain your ordeal

I dont think you understand what im talking about. In every single pic people have posted here of him, the light dies the further away it gets from the LED. That's what I dont like. I didnt mention anything about color so Im not sure why youre talking about tints.

Can somebody tell me if you can raise the saber arm above his head with the saber ignited , so far all I see are in hand pics with the saber in a dull one handed flex position

And is it hard to do a double handed raised arm over the head with saber lit pose, haven't seen this either :dunno

I guess if you prefer boring whiny actors :dunno

You know who elese was boring and awful in those movies?

Ewen McGregor, Natalie Portman, and Samuel L Jackson... but fortunately they had other well known movies/parts for which they received praise prior to being locked onto the same soundstage as George Lucas. But if you prefer keeping your mind closed to the possibilities that HC is actually a very capable actor, so be it. Tra la la lilly! :blissy

Once they bring out a Driver head sculpt version I'll probably just buy the head from Ebay. Although the helmet look is badass I want Kylo vs Rey and Finn vs FN2199

Ewan McGregor was amazing, especially in Episode III. Hayden is a good actor, he is good in the prequels.

Ewan has such charisma it is hard to keep him down, but that scene where is he telling Padme about how he witnessed Anakin killing younglings is probably one of the worst scenes in the entire sage. Both he and Portman. Terrrrrrrrribibel.

But remember, George only showed us what HE wanted. He could have done better takes but Lucas may not have liked them. The moment he steps off of the ship on Mustafar makes that scene forgettable.

You think I'm basing my opinion on his portrayal as Anakin alone :cuckoo:

I've seen his other films. The man can't act, too emotional bad chemistry, he's only had the luxury of having films were he played opposite some pretty good looking girls Portman included to carry him through the scenes.

Portman is not bad. Padme was a horribly written character
