Re: Hot Toys The Last Jedi Rey 1/6 Figure

:lol

Definitely a bait post, but I hope you're right. I want to see her join Kylo. It would throw a nice wrench into the treadmill hero story.
I think the fact that they teased that in the trailer means she's not turning. Frankly I'm not interested in that angle though anyways. We don't need twists added to make the films better in my opinion. Just well developed characters and stories.

Old Ben gave Luke a training remote on the Falcon.
Old Luke on an island gives Rey training porgs?
TLJ Chewie will most likely come with some too. Be hilarious if he can with a *****-ton of them.

So I can only guess this is a photoshopped image of the blade ignited, because how can they do this if the hilt is molded to the hand

Also, i’ll Mention it again, Rey’s lightsaber style is so different than anyone’s in the past. It’s definitely different from Luke’s . So why would he train her like that :horror

He'll train her Force abilities. She already has a fighting style, IMHO.

I already hate the porgs and thinking of ways to destroy them. Fire is in the lead at the moment.

Nah....have a little fun. Randomly leave them in people's mailboxes or hide them in places at the local **** shop.

Re: Hot Toys The Last Jedi Rey 1/6 Figure

That would be awesome. I would want to see them with "dark side eyes." It could be Luke/Finn (full light side) vs Kylo/Rey (dark/grey side) vs Snoke (full dark side). We've never seen a 3 sided force user conflict in Star Wars before.

This intrigues me. The notion that Finn could still be a jedi. A full on Light Jedi with Rey being a Grey is fascinating. I hope we're headed to some such storyline.

Figure looks much better in proto photos than she did at NYCC. Definitely putting her on my list of things I want to preorder.

I see Rey having a different look for EP IX . Darker for sure with a dark cloak . Now the question is will she lose any body parts . Could Disney actually do this to a female character in the SW universe :horror

Luke wore Black in ROTJ and it was nothing more than a fake out. Those of us who were around in 82-83 before the film was released remember how people speculated Luke would go to the Dark Side. Vader got into his head during the Cloud City fight. None of that happened. Rey isn't joining the dark side.

Simply, people wear black when they mean business.

Re: Hot Toys The Last Jedi Rey 1/6 Figure

Usually I get hyped with each new figure. Not this time. I can't stop thinking about the hype and build up to Infinity War.

There's not much action from Hot Toys on Infinity War though. Or am I missing something ?

They need to get Ragnarok out of the way first.

Star Wars is slowly building speed. Ordered my IMAX tickets yesterday !!! Oh yeah !!

Plus with Infinity War so many of those characters have been made in other versions various times before. I like the Marvel films a lot but they're too hard to collect for since there are so many characters and variants always coming out.

At least Star Wars so far is only one film per year and while there are a lot of figures a lot of things can be passed on easily like the many Trooper variants. I also find it easier to pick and choose what I really want with Star Wars.

I think the possibility of Finn being a Jedi is still very high. They never say he's not force sensitive and Maz, who is Force sensitive, gives Finn the lightsaber and then tells him to use it. I don't see why she would do that if he wasn't force sensitive. He is also shown to break the FO trooper programming, so he's not weak minded. He appears to do this when he has his "awakening" on Jakku, which is said to be a light side nexus, in the same way Dagobah, Malachor, and Morriband are dark side nexus'.

And I think grey Jedi is where this Trilogy is going. The concept of yin and yang, true balance between light and dark, and ultimately embracing the complete view of the force is the destiny for both Rey and Kylo. Even the Force Awakens novel opens with an excerpt from the Journal of the Whills.

"First comes the day
Then comes the
Night.
After the darkness
Shines through the light.
The difference, they
Say,
Is only made right
By resolving the gray
Through refined Jedi
Sight."
~Journal of the Whills 7:477

This is supposedly the book we see Luke have in TLJ Trailer. It should be crucial for the plot going forward. And it's what Luke means when he says the Jedi must end. Fully light doesn't work and fully dark doesn't work. You need both, which is why Kylo, and now Rey, are so desirable to Snoke. He also knows the secret for full power lies in harnessing both and being grey, even if he leans moreso on the dark side.

If I had to guess how the next two movies will go, Luke will sort of train Rey, but he will disappoint her when he doesn't help her save her friends. She will confront Snoke, be tortured, saved by Kylo, and join him. Now she's off the path of light, and Luke will train Finn to save her and Ben from the dark path in IX. It's just a theory. Not completely sure if Finn becomes a Jedi through training with Luke. But I do think Rey joins Ben, or at the very least, they work together.
