Honestly, to me, they are both equally off, but I think the last cheetos Rey looks waaay better in hand. Photos really can't capture the subtle things you notice looking at the actual figure, as Rorywan and Username are saying. If you're on the fence about Ep VIII Rey, I'd say buy her, I'm glad to have her myself. No regerts.

Ah ok. That must explain why I think TFA sculpt looks better in those images.

I really love that last shot in just the white top! Although for her full Resistance look I think the gray sleeves look a whole lot better on her than the TFA wraps.

I like the resistance wraps better too. I don't think she still had them at that point in the movie though, but I could be remembering wrong.

After watching a few reviews, I think I'm going to have to get this one now. I'm just hoping another eBay coupon will show up soon so I can knock the price down to about $210...

I think the TFA sculpt has the better likeness but is maybe a bit more doll looking than this one. I finally picked up another TFA head to do the head-gear though, was always worried about damaging the paint due to the Hot Toys instructions so never did it until now.

Whoa!

See now in this shot I’m really not seeing all the regular criticisms on this figure. I just see Rey with a little intensity on her face I think.

Does anybody know what I’m talking about? I don’t think I’m saying it too well. I don’t think she looks like an elf or anything here, but in a lot of other pics I’ve seen she looks different.

She probably takes them off in episode 9 and finds out her full name was written on her arms the whole time!
