I won't judge the likeness totally until I have him in hand, but I think it's just as possible that rights and Heath's death had nothing to do with it and if it's off, it was just an off sculpt, HT is capable of flawed work like anyone, even Yulli doesn't get every sculpt perfect, when she's on it's really something, but not ever sculpt is on. I think the face of the HT figure, maybe doesn't embody the film so much, but I think it makes for the most interesting figure look. Having seen the movie, it doesn't bother me he doesn't come with the machine gun, as he even says, guns aren't his thing, he uses a few briefly but the knives and joker cards are his big mark and this figure comes with that. Unless a v2 really offers something worthwhile, I'll likely pass on it, there's not much else I can think of as a variant of this figure to warrant buying both. If they did him in his bank robbery suit or something, that'd be another matter, but a Predator-esque rehash of this figure can't offer too much more than this figure already has.

how about a nurse joker? personally I think he comes very light for a $150+- figure, 2 pair of hands, a knife, cards and cash. I would think at least a cell phone would be added since he used that a lot in the film. but I guess most of the money goes to the outfit.

How long after this one has sent to production do they usually release a v2?
Just curious since this is my first HT purchase, and am not familiar with how they do things.

If they released a Nurse Joker the accessories would definitely be 1) the chart that he holds when the cop bursts in 2) the gun that he both shoots the cop with and then gives to Harvey to hold 3) the mask (part of the costume I know but essential) 4) the detonator that malfunctions for a quick second... Those are the items that he handles/uses in that scene.

i dont know if there's a track record on ht's v2. to me its pretty irregular, probably based on sales figures. The quickest one I can think of is sa feng from POTC saw version2 in like 1-2 months right after V1 was released , BB batman, I guess you can count it as v2, was the longest in memory.

This is kinda like he HT superman figure. It may not look exactly like Routh but it sure as hell looks like SUPERMAN. I think the same thing goes here, I have no problem with the HS looks cool to me.

Good point... although I'll also have the customized Les head which seems to be the best of both worlds.

Well, I finally ordered it from someone on ebay, and I'm pretty excited. This is my first figure from companies like Hot Toys or Medicom. Just never really had anything I wanted to pay that high price for, especially a 12 inch figure, but this one is pretty tempting.

I think you picked a good one for your first. But I'll have to warn you that this may be the first step on a slippery slope. I remember when I though $60 was an outrageous price for a figure, and now I'm spending $160+ without batting an eye.

I can see where this slippery slope is leading...the poorhouse :monkey2 j/k
Then again I came from the BJD Dollfie community where people would spend $600.00 -$1000.00+ on a single piece without batting an eye...err crazy I tell ya

I can totally understand. The same thing happend to me and Sideshow. The thing is though, the Joker has ALWAYS been my favorite pop culture character, so me buying this figure is almost an exception. The prices for Hot Toys (and even Sideshow 12in. figures) is more than I'm willing to part with for just 12 inchers. That doesn't mean I won't dump a crapload on PF's though.

Basically, for me, the rule is: if it's Joker, and I like it, buy it. I sadly wasn't too crazy for that one 1:2 bust of the Joker that DC Direct(?) has been showing lately. I'm also SOMEWHAT tempted with that 1:4 scale bust that Hot Toys is putting out, but I may just leave it at this 12 in. figure.

I ordered my Joker from animate_international (ebay), hope to receive it next week.

Good seller and fantastic prices.
