Their old stuff was better imo (Terminator 1&2, Rambos, Robocop, etc) basically anything with the hologramic effect.

I actually started getting sick of all their figures in MM line having that rainbow look..i mean its still pretty sharp but, the Terminator Salvation packaging has grown on me now since i have it in hand..its very light though..when i picked it up the first time it felt like it was empty lol..its a cool design though.

I like the photo quality of the art on the T:S line, it's similar on the TDK figures, that gritty finish to the outter cardboard. I also like that the T:S art uses the figures and not the actor.

I guess I just like to have a consistent look. I like to pose the boxes behind my figures. I do like the new styles though, very cool as well.

I personally love the look of the T:S boxes.

Hot Toys has come up with some pretty innovative packaging but honestly the TS packaging is, let's face it, cheap. They probably thought they were cutting corners while being innovative but the fact is I'd pay more for a nicer box like we got with TDK or IM. If I'm paying $150+ for a figure it sure as hell better come in nice collectible packaging and not some cheap styrofoam with a cardboard slip sleeve around it to hold it together.

I've yet to get one of these... soon come..

I really liked the older reflective boxes though..:huh

I don't like the styrofoam box idea, it prone to break easily at corner, edge and look cheap. But i like the outer sleeve so much. That gritty finish match movie perfectly. I think it'll look odd if TS line come with shiny outer sleeve.

I think HT were trying to design a box that looked 'machined'; the dark grey engraved foam gives that industrial, hardened feel while still being sleek and nice to look at. But my favourite box design was the Asian Biohazard 4 boxes! :rock So sleek, so sexy! :lol

Question for JC owners; the two velcro on my JC's knife sheath straps peeled off, any suggestion on how to fix them, without resulting to permanent adhesive? I'm currently using blu-taks on them, works really well, but you can see the blu taks, since i had to use quite a lot for the straps to be safely attached.

As much as I had to fight getting the knife straps to wrap, one of my velcro bits peeld to and i just used superglue, why wouldn't you want to use permanent adhesive? Anything else I think wouldn't be strong enough and eventually the strap would probably pull the piece away again, or the strap pull away from the piece, whichever end the velcro's coming off. I don't see any reason not to use a permanent adhesive on it.

Geez, of course! Glue the parts that peeled off! *slaps self* for some reason, i keep thinking of gluing the straps together, without the velcrow. Thanks MaulFan, sorry for the dumbness!

That's ok, I didn't realize what you were trying to say about gluing and just assumed you were trying not to do what I did and I was confused why. As long as you get your figure how you want :duff

I love hot toys sculpt I think its great none are perfect but from what we used to get.... I have no complaints.

LOL.
I stitched the Velcro to the knife's sheath strap thing.
So, i don't have to worry about it peeling off again.
