Finally got connor today. AMAZING!! Best figure of the year! My only complaints would be the "magic tape." But overall Id give him a 9/10!

Some pictures! Love the new material they use for the headsculpt, really brings out the details.

Great shots, EKT!

Finally got a chance to futz a bit tonight...man, that magic tape's a bad trick for sure. I'll be coming up with some permanent solutions for those flaps and straps.

Having said that, he just looks fantastic.

Hoping I don't have to work all weekend so I can get creative with some shots...this is one fine figure.

Mine arrived today and apart from looking like a cross-eyed David Beckham, he's not a bad piece. Had to use glue on various parts of the harness, though.

Well...had another Monday from hell going today at work until this guy showed up...and man, was I sent over the moon opening this up and giving it a look...

Just did a quick shot right out of the box, no futzing or attempts to gear him up yet, but....

WOW!

Just some random first impressions here...

This is my first Hot Toys figure and man, I can see what all of the fuss is about.
Yeah, he's gonna need some care and patience getting it all together but I can already tell, the end result is gonna be fantastic.

For those of you still waitng for yours to arrive or those still on the fence....all the fine photos being posted in here (and there have been some great ones) do not do this figure complete justice. All of the superlatives being hurled at this one are right on the mark. The sculpt, the paint, the detailing....all just amazing. The outfit and all of it's accouterments are scaled perfectly and distressed well too, right down to the soles of the boots.

The packaging is fun and distinctive too and as MC pointed out in his review, very collector friendly, yet good and sturdy.

I'm looking forward to getting this guy futzed and geared up...I think this one's gonna be one of my favorites for the year. I know folks are still knocking the movie while digging the figure, but for me staring at this one makes me want to see the movie again and get inspired to snap some fun shots!

Thanks Hot Toys for doing this character so well...and to paraphrase a certain Austrian Oak, "I'll be back"...with some more shots later.... :)

Im in total agreement . This has to be seen in hand to get the detail , hell my friends think im a fool buying this stuff , even they are amazed by it .
If you are looking to pick up a new figure then don't miss this .

Mine was delivered last week, but I was out of town and didn't get a chance to open it up until last night. This is only my third Hot Toys figure (Iron Man Mark III and Dutch being the other two) and it maintains the bar HT has set.

Quick question (I know it's been asked before, but I'm at work and don't have time to search the threads): how are you guys getting the M4 mag pouches to stay? With the ubiquitous magic tape? And if so, was magic tape included with the figure, because there was none in the box.

There's a youtube video link back on page 238 that helped me out regarding the accessories. There's already velcro attached to the pouches, etc, but it really is crap.

Could someone show me how the red piece of cloth on his arm is meant to be tied, etc? Mine fell off when I was putting on the wrist-knife pouch.

Many thanks!

Got mine yesturday and it really is a great figure. Aside from the common complaints (magic tape? Nothing magical about velcro that doesn't work remotely like it should!), he's fantastic. The paint job has to be seen in hand to fully appreciate. Now I need to decide between Marcus or a T-600. With DX Joker on the way, can't afford both!

I don't want to start one of those "who's better arguments" but this is my first "human" where the figure's main head is not masked or anything. How does this head sculpt, meaning texture, detail, and paint compare to Enterbay's work? People say that Enterbay's heads are amazing, but I have never seen one in hand. Is this one close to what one would see from them?

i believe if you search a bit you'll find close up shots of enterbay's jack bauer and vito corleone.

Ive seen them. I was just wondering how people felt with things in hand. Because JC is so much better in hand then the pics I've seen.

Just curious. Thought I would ask some of the 1:6 veteran's out there.

Got him today, and he is awesome, i love figures with details, and he's all in his details, the accessories are awesome.

For those getting annoyed with the magic tape, i found the little instructions for the magic tape were helpful in me using it and it actually working. I've got all his velcro'd bits set and they are staying well and aren't popping as i'd worried about.

The instructions say to attach the two sides, and then rub them together in a way, sort of moving the top piece back and forth till it kind of digs itself into the bottom one. I did this gently with all the points where they have to attach (all the mag pouches, knife straps, etc) and they all held nicely after i did it, compared to just trying to press it on.

I did find that rubbing the magic tape per the instructions worked better than just pressing the halves together like traditional velcro, but it still seems weaker than other velcros and certainly snaps and magnets would be even stronger. Especially the magazine pouches, there's so little there to hold even.

I can understand why they use it though, it's small, and to keep scale small and not have things be stiff or oversized it works better than normal velcro, and magnets would have possibly been too big (even small ones like SS used on Indy) for all the mag pouches, or too costly.

For these purposes, small pouches and what not, it doesn't bother me, not like joker's vest, where it would either come open or be visible to often and look bad, here it fits, and works for me and goes well.

I findit more an issue on small stuff like the mage pouches, I'd rather them a little bulkier and stay shut than smaller with the magic tape and pop up and flop around in the air like it won't secure. For me, closures on parts of figures is an area where I'm for losing some of the accurracy/scale in order to make the piece function better.

I can understand, but for me at least they aren't popping off, even the knife straps which are getting molested to no end by the butt of his rifle everytime i'm posing him.

But here's my pics:
