Recently had to cancel most of my preorders due to budget. Glad I kept this one. Hopefully I can keep him. I pushed my first flex of him to December.

Dang this is on waitlist now too? It seems like a lot more stuff is going that way now than before. It used to be pretty much safe to not order an exclusive figure before release now a bunch seem to be going (old Han, Deadpool, Affleck Batman, this).

I know pretty crazy, figures like this are kinda odd in that they don't seem popular but sell out fast, but theres probably an obvious link there :lol

Maybe SS orders things in specific batches? i.e "We'll take 500.....or we'll take 2,000" depending on what their guess market will be (?) :dunno

Also something to be said for the large number of new collectors. Over the last two years I've noticed allot more people collecting locally -- I think theres a whole generation of Marvel fans who grew up on the movies and are just now starting to make enough money to get into this hobby.

or fans that already had money, and got into higher end collectibles.

For example, myself I was solely into 6" figures, and then I got hooked on Hot Toys after they released the TDK Batman Begins Suit figure.

I just want this to start shipping, it doesn't even have to be where I am in the US yet, start shipping somewhere to get the ball rolling.

I just joined in the Hot Toys collecting two years ago. I was also in the 6" figures as well. And now The Marvel Hot Toys are all that I am grabbing they are too good to pass up on. And finally Falcon can start shipping any day now!

It's really stunning how the delays have been piling up with HT lately. Not that I'm complaining because I'd rather everything is done properly and not rushed, but geez, they have become delay central.

I doubt it's a matter of getting it right and more a matter of getting more Star Wars figures out the door.

Little (or longer) explaining on why the sideshow emails have nothing to do with production or release of a figure
Misconception. It's not a hot toys delay. Almost all those figures that are said to be delayed actually come out well within HOT TOYS expected release window. These sideshow emails have nothing to do with production. They sent out emails for figuresxalready actually released. Sideshow estimates are always early. Look at the DC WMmk1...it got a delayed email last month or the month before despite it being released and not past hot toys intial announced window. Or the mk3 wM which has gotten the email, despite it not being past sideshows announced 3 month window (after the first month of the 3 month window that sideshow gives nearly every figure they send out an email saying it's "delayed" even though it is actually just an update/revised scheduled and may not even extend past the 3 month window. As in say oct-dec is the window and in September they send out an email saying it's delayed to nov-dec...clearly not delayed but happen with three figures this year and happens with almost every figure since they don't usually release through sideshow before hot toys elannounced them to release in Hong Kong...even though nearly every sideshow schedule coincides with or is even before hot toys announced release window.)

Anyway, that's not a production delay. It's not even a delay. Until the hot toys announced window is passed anything sideshow says has nothing to do with with production or delays really. Look at the DC mk3 wM again. It's gotten two or three "delayed" emails and yet hot toys said when it announced the figure that it could take till Dec 31, 2016 before they expect it to release in Hong Kong. So if the people making it say it probably won't be out till around The end of December when sideshow sends out an email in September or October it clearly has nothing to do with a delay or even hot toys and everything to do with sideshow and how they do their announced releases.

It seems like a lot has gotten delayed because every figure, unless it comes out early, will get at least one of those emails as they narrow the anticipated arrival window. If they say a figure will arrive oct-dec and then at the end of September send out an update it says something like we original expected this to arrive in October but now except it to arrive in nov-dec or dec-Jan or something like that it's not a delay, even though they use that word. There are legal reasons having to do with mail order, fraud ect on pre orders that they have to update and use certain terms. But again, it's not an actual delay 99/100 times.

Just use hot toys expected arrival and add 6 weeks if you want to know when to actually expect an item. Sideshows announced windows have very little to do with when a figure actually releases.

Agree with this *meh*. Seeing as CW stuff was teased months ago and everywhere I went online had original estimated arrival dates of "Q3" or Sept-Nov 2016. All of a sudden CW figs are pushed back past the holiday season. I think "shipping space" (ships/planes) was handed over to SW and maybe manufacturing/packing in favor of cranking out/shipping SW.

Heck, I was even smug thinking I'd have my "base" CW collection set up (Bucky/Cap/Falcon) and could happily sit back planning accessories/display backgrounds and look for leaked set pics re BP and Infinity Wars LOL:cool: since they will be filming. Life was good.

Now poor CW Cap is all alone without his roadtrip buddies.:(

This was announced from hot toys as q3-q4 from the day it came out. Can't blame hot toys for secondary retailers coming up with stupid/incorrect release dates.

Again, hot toys said it could take till Dec 31 2016. Sideshow said it was expected sept-nov. so it's not hot toys(why would they tell sideshow to expect it months before they thought it would be done?) that's sideshow having a different agenda and reasoning and it has nothing to do with how many Star Wars or anything else hot toys is making. Or any type of production delay or any delay at all really. That's just different companies have different agendas. Sideshows is so people have there money ready (and for flex..can't announce a different date for flex customers and full pay so they announce the earliest possible date so they can be sure people opting for flex are paid in advance of it arriving not three months later) and so they comply with USA pre order laws. Hot toys announced window is when the people making it expect it will be done if everything goes to plan and marvel/wb/fox/etc got the approvals back on time. Very different agendas.
