Hot Toys - MMS DX 01- The Dark Knight - The Joker spec and pics

Hopefully this much better one shortly after will not become a norm and giving us the best up front will be more a norm, but you never know, they can be pretty shady sometimes.

That's my fear now.

I don't want two or three versions of any character (same outfit). I want the best I can get.

I don't mind upgrading, given a few years... but the constant bombardment of a slightly better this and a slightly better that is frustrating.

I actually feel lucky that the DX Joker wasn't even better -- meaning they still didn't address certain issues with the outfit and sculpt -- so even though it's better overall than the v1 outfit, I don't feel that I absolutely have to have it like I did with the BR sculpt.

I agree. Oh well I'm still gonna cave in and buy it. I WON'T however abandon my V1 Joker. For the time it came out and for what it is, it's still good with the V2 head IMO.

If you have Joker v1 and get this figure which is only $30 more than a standard MMS you basically can upgrade everything from the HS to the clothing, if not it can just stay in the box like a 2 in 1.

Where did you see that? A $30 increase is not bad at all for what you get. Well it kind of makes sense since the only thing extra that we wouldn't get from an MMS is another outfit and the Stark outfit Hot Toys has up for order on Toys2 is $30.

Very nice indeed! Tempted to get it for the cop version. I have the the V1 Joker with the Les/Josh head thats better than anything HT has put out likeness wise even on this.

Didn't cop Joker have a "Rachel Dawes" nametag in the movie?
And I wish they could've at least made the socks darker instead of having the same bright pattern, but I guess they had to work with what they had.

But the vest looks like it's tighter, and hopefully that's because the velcro's been replaced with snaps/buttons.
Also I see the chain's longer now.

And I can't wait to get this figure, I already have the V1 but I was always fickle with what way I wanted to display him (without the coat or with) so now I'll get to do both.

I think after the V1 release Hot Toys will be more careful about creating figures with limited reference, so I'm not too worried about releasing multiple releases like this becoming a standard.

I just PO'd the Cop Joker DX figure from Joe for $199.99 which is a $40 increase from the standard MMS figures. So its $40 not $30 but still not bad considering.

If you can wait an extra month or two, you'll probably save $20+ by getting the DCD batch.

Same photo. It's simply a matter of adjusting the RGB curve of the photo. Decreasing the red which increases the green. Then adjusting the contrast.

Cop Joker should have GCPD on his hat though, not POLICE.

No, Thomas Schiff had the Dawes nametag.

Actually they ALL had nametags that said "Dawes". It was confirmed by the dude who was an extra. He posted pics of himself on set in the Cop uniform.
