Ordered the cop joker listed @ BBTS. If it comes with all that its pretty damn hard to pass up.

If we have to buy a nude true type body to display both figures...does that mean we need to buy a neck connector too? or do u get a spare one with this figure?

Caveat Bro:

Please note: The pricing and availability of this item is subject to change.

I'm not worried about that. I've got enough credit with them to get it. Just want to make sure I get everything.

^^^^^k these cheap japs. This is the figure we SHOULD have gotten in the first place. It's not like their technology improves that quickly. This was all a scam to take our money. They could have damn well put this one out in the first place.

I may agree with parts of your statements starting from the "This is the figure we SHOULD...."

I believe HT could have made the figure from the get go. However, HT adoring public (including me) wants our figs now rather than later. They release a solid V1 effort to silence their fan base. The fans poo poo the sculpt and BRJ comes along more screen accurate...blah blah blah. Bottom line, we the collectors want to wait 9 mos for V1 (like I am for my IM III) I bet we would of had this guy right out of the box, first try.

Ultimately, HT is a toy company who makes toys for profit. We buy them they will continue making them.

My only problem with the figure is the choice for a face sculpt. I was really hoping for a big smiling Joker but the moving eyes lessens my displeasure.

Needless to say, I cannot wait to have all 4 Jokers in my display case :D

I'm not a big fan of the Cop Joker. IMO it was too small a part of the movie to warrant a figure. HOWEVER I might grab this just for the GPD uniform. If they ever make a Jim Gordon figure he'll need a flunky to boss around.

Evilbay has a few listed around $180. I'm guessing that will be close to the price point for the fig.

That sounds about right. I may order a TT body from SS then so I can display both figures.

The only annoying thing is and appears to have been discussed it HT putting out what is in some ways a better figure to the first one. For the price these guys charge they should do this version the first time.

I'll post this one more time:

The figures, the "updates" were bonuses really.

The first figure "The Joker" was done before the final film edit was completed and inaccurate in many ways despite being a fantastically done figure. It was done on promotional pics solely and obviously things changed.

The second figure "The Joker in Bank Robber Disguise" included a second head that could be used for the v1 figure but not made specifically for it like the Jack Sparrow release. It also included a gun that was heavily featured in trailers and posters and people were screaming should have been included.

This figure "The Joker in Cop Disguise" has upgraded suits, which people were screaming about since the first release. The suit is the correct color. It seems lightly weathered which people were complaining was lacking. It also includes additional Joker pieces like the Grenade rig. Additional hands and completely new Joker head with different expression. This update was created specifically to make the Joker from the Mob scene. If you have Joker v1 and get this figure which is only $30 more than a standard MMS you basically can upgrade everything from the HS to the clothing, if not it can just stay in the box like a 2 in 1.

When you really look at the game footage Hot Toys hasn't committed a huge sin as many are proclaiming.

While its expensive to have "The definitive Joker" because you'd either have to fight on eBay for the pieces or plop down $480 to get it but that is our fault for being anal retentive collectors, there are collectors out there who are still happy with their first purchase and have called it done.

The v1 was deemed "unacceptable" by a lot of fans, they've been trying to make amends ever since and while some have been screaming foul.

I hear what you're saying on the upgrades and all, and it is kudos to HT that instead of saying deal with it on a so-so figure, they've continued to offer improvements.

I don't see this is as an intentional screw fans over.

However, outside of the poseable eyes, I see absolutely nothing to do with purple suit Joker that is in this set that from a production standpoint, HT could not have achieved a year ago.

So then it becomes pretty clear, it was wrong because of what they went off of for source material, and still some things are wrong like the coat lining.

My frustration and hope for the future is that if HT genuinely cares about the fans (presumably a driving force behind the offered upgrades) then understand we don't tie to the hype of the film, if you come out a few months later, we'll still love it.

So I'm hoping this Joker situation has been a lesson to HT about how you can't trust promo shots to give you a definitive look at a character from a film and also use the film itself as reference in the future to avoid these situations.

I'm sure they realize a large ammount of their customers are very passionate die hards and realize we want the best and most accurrate matching figures and know they can do it.

I'm using the TT I had for my Nurse Joker. I had to buy all the pegs and what not separately, so I have the body, hand pegs, ankle pegs, and a neck adapter. I should be good to go with that.

I have the v1 joker I still like it but its just a shame that they are doing the jokers this way.Since a few of the members here have put alot of money into their custom ones etc.Ill probuly buy this new joker its just a shocker thats all.

Hot Toys has already had quite the hostory of double dipping.

2-in-1 Returns Superman
Battle Damaged Predator 2
Wolf Predator (cleaner kit version)
Cannibal Jack Sparrow
Batman Begins-costume Batman

At least with this one you get all the accessories of the v1 so you aren't missing anything if you didn't purchase previous versions.

I have the v1 joker already.

I don't Sean. This isn't the best way to treat people who paid for the first one really. I mean if they wan this "percieved" better one then they will feel they have to buy it. I don't think you make one figure then several months later "improve" it.

If SS did that all hell would break loose and people would be screaming from the mountain tops. So just letting HT get a pass I think is a bit of bull^^^^ frankly.

It may not have been intentional but its been done. Just put out your best version and give us that.

Same photo. It's simply a matter of adjusting the RGB curve of the photo. Decreasing the red which increases the green. Then adjusting the contrast.

How come you're referring to me, I don't recall discussing the photos with you?

Not saying this in a ^^^^^^^^ manner either, I'm really confused.
