Man, the DX01 thread is jumping!

Anyway the best Joker I've seen is one Adam(I think) but the expression was too...tame? For lack of a better work. But the likeness, imo, was stunning. I wish I could find it.
Someone did a repaint of the BR Joker sculpt that I really really liked too. It was posted recently in the Batman collection thread.


edit: Looking at that sculpt again that may be the sculpt I'm referring to but with different paint. Didn't he have another one too

The bank robber Joker head is clearly more realistic but the DX Joker jaw is more accurate, but looks too cartoony!

Yeah, the Bank Robber is far superior imo. Even with the jaw line it looks much more like Ledger. And man those PERS look awful compared to the painted eyes. Glad they have improved since then.

void: I've never seen that one before. That's amazing work.

Fiend: the one I got, I bought from another member and it was $375. I believe that's what Adam charged him. He quoted me $800 for a laughing sculpt at one point. I stretched my limits on the one I have, I couldn't pay what he was asking for another and live with myself.

Holy crap. That's a lot of dough. I don't think I could do it. But man, it would be the centerpiece of my collection. Truly a work of art. I thought I saw the laughing sculpt being sold somewhere for much less a while back though.

Yes and yes. It's funny when I first laid eyes on the DX I thought it was crazy realisitic but now,as you've said, it's pretty cartoony looking. I still like it, just not as a realistic version of Ledger. I like the BR sculpt much more and think it's HT's best of the Joker...that and the police vesion too. I really hope HT knocks it out of the park with the 2.0. I mean they better, why else even do it if not. Same goes for Batman.

Wow, ebay top rated sellers have the DX01 and DX02 around the $650 - $700 mark!! Do all DXs increase in value like this, or is it just these two????

A lot of older HT figures are expensive...these might be a little more because of the popularity of the characters and everything you get with a DX.

I hate PERS, just because enterbay did something similar hot toys has to follow? The PERS is what makes the DX look so cartoony.

I thought the jawline on the DX was inaccurate, but look at these comparison shots of the Jaw of Ledger and dx Joker. The shape is the same but is too wide.

The bank Robber is a cooler more realistic Joker but the jaw is too square or rectangular.

Yes hot toys figures sell out quick and go up in price within months. I made double my money in 2 years from selling the DX Joker.

This is why people are upset with hot toys re releasing Mark 1 Iron man, because it decreases the value of the one they bought in 2008. The value of it dropped considerably once hot toys announced that Mark 1 Iron Man was going to re released.

According to the custom haters on this thread that is just an opinion of yours and not a fact that silicon is higher quality and adds realism, even though it cost more, where do these stupid custom haters come from? It is a dam fact you haters! That is why it is expensive and is of a higher quality!

Yeah I think they were just trying to show what the Bank Robber sculpt looks like with DX paint to prove that the bank robber sculpt is better. It is in this thread somewhere.
