No I am not, why do you keep saying this stuff. I showed a picture of the cop DX01 to show that I think that is the best hot toys Joker head sculpt.

That's kind of a cycle with this thread, the customs take over for a few pages.... and then we return to DX01

Well I am not sure it should be like that unless people bring up stupid stuff that hot toys figures are better than talented Handmade custom artist.

Or when people state the fact that silicon brings realism and therefore makes the sculpt a higher quality than hot toys figures, that according to custom haters that is not fact but an opinion.

No customs do not rule in fact the majority of them suck, I told you that before but you just don't get it. That hot toys cop Joker I posted has a horrible paint job but I am trying to say that because it is painted differently you can see that the head sculpt of the cop Joker is the best resemblance to heath as the jaw is the same shape and is narrow like heaths.

Just compare them.

Wow, ebay top rated sellers have the DX01 and DX02 around the $650 - $700 mark!! Do all DXs increase in value like this, or is it just these two????

Really tempts me to sell this (with the update on the DX01 2.0. But the DX01 was my first HT figure, and I just don't think I can part with it...

I like the stock paint better than that one. Still cool though.

I don't agree at all, but you're probably not alone. Josh has a very recognizable technique. His paint's are extremely precise, but almost stylized. I like it on all the Jokers he has done.

In my experience, the more insistent one gets with this kind of stuff the more people dig their heels in and disagree with you.

However, I do tend to agree that silicone looks better objectively. But that's a separate issue than which is a better sculpt.

SilentSurfer is one of the best painters I have ever seen. He paints a lot of the prototype stuff for Sideshow.

Hey Maglor dont worry about it, I think it will be a long time before they release Joker 2.0, so you have plenty of time to decide if you want to sell it. The longer you wait the more it will increase in value.

I also do not agree that the stock paint job is better but everyone is entitled to their opinion. Hey Maglor I have not seen all of Josh's Jokers can you post some pics?

Yes I agree I am not saying it is a better head sculpt I am just saying the material it is made from is better than hot toys, which is a fact, not an opinion. Wasnt that the reason why Bobby'çs cost so much to make?

I don't know but a brand new one on ebay sold for $117, but that was not broken.

The Dark Knight Mania was over the top, what with the avatars and signatures and custom figures out the wazoo, and people talking about it being the greatest movie they had ever seen, etc. If you couldn't see it, then you weren't looking. We're already getting a taste of that for the new film, and I expect it's just gonna get worse. Power to you if you care so passionately about a movie to behave that way, but when it gets overbearing then it's a turnoff to some.

And there's nothing wrong with that *snicker* , folks just shouldn't get offended when other people observe it. It is what it is. Like I said, some will get turned off to it, but so what? Be honest with what you are interested in (or rather, obsessed with), and let the chips fall where they may.

If David Cronenberg teamed with the Coens to do a GI Joe movie about Flint vs. Zartan, I would probably act the same way

I love Fight Club as well.

Yeah, I don't really mind other's opinions when it comes to flicks. I don't really care if you hated it or not. If I liked it and you hated it, I see no reason to try and change the other's opinions, rather just embrace yours and be happy.
