But the only reason Hong Kong specifically and China in general have exploded economically in the past two decades is because they have set aside silly notions such as copyright protection, trademarks and other forms of intellectual property rights.

What does this have to do with anything? We've already established that Hot Toys respects IP rights. They're the ones paying for the license.
