On OSR on FB, someone asked SS why they are not shipping until March and they said because of the Chinese New Year that everything is delayed. The Chinese New Year is 05 Feb and I hear most people take off close to the whole month to celebrate so it seems legit.

Surprisingly the normally terrible in-hand photos on EBay and the like make the sculpt (PERS sculpt at least) look damn near perfect, while normally exceptional pictures like OMG's made it look off. I'll say that it looks a lot better than I thought based on OMG's shots.
