i also would have prefered todd remain in the grave. and i loved drake as robin; a little put off by his now never having really been one. i dont mind the time crunch: i like a younger batman. but think the new 52 batman would have been even more to my taste had they brought certain things about slowly. or not tried to include everything in a 6 year period or whatever. i really dug babs as oracle and miss the character and the terrifying repercussions of joker which have almost all been diluted by either rehabilitation or a lazarus pit. that whole jason todd thing is really far fetched even for comic and kind of spits in the face of a classic storyline.
i also wonder what is on the dish, but even if it's a head, i fear it wont be anything permanent somehow. or it will be a more minor character, like gordon's son. anyway, three more weeks and we get to find out.

i like elements of batman's new suit but as a whole i feel the new 52 feels pretty gentrified and looks almost exactly like what it is: every character designed by jim lee. how or why nearly every superhero would have a suit that looked designed by the same person baffles me a little and takes away from each character's individuality. i like that they've moved away from tights but dont feel they took it far enough.

I still can't make up my mind about the laughing sculpt. At this point, I'm thinking of selling it but I'll wait 'til I see it in-hand. If I do sell it off, what would be a good price point?

Also, anyone have any theories as to what's on the food plate at the end of all the current titles in death of the family?

joker fish?

I like what they've done with Jason Todd over time and his big return but I'd prefer it if he had stayed dead. I'd prefer it if Babs stayed in the chair (sounds bad but it's kind of a slap in the face to the huge handicapped following that char developed). Next thing you know, Sarah Essen is going to crawl out of the Laz Pit cackling with an evil grin!!!

it's rough when these things get "undone", though i am glad barbara is out of the chair for gordon's sake at least. i also think the under the red hood storyline was pretty dang amazing, so as much as i don't like undoing todd's death, at least they did it well.

yeah, 'cuz poor gordon's hadn't had enough crud thrown at him ~ ha!

i don't think the "death" is literal. joker is going to somehow ruin batman's relationship with the others (that's what he's been conniving all along) so that he will be "solo" sans family in the most painful emotional way.

and i feel totally cheated out of harley busting up joker's wedding with batgirl. holy missed opportunities, dc!

When I first saw the laughing sculpt my first reaction was to sell it. Its too scene specific for my tastes. But now I have plans for it which involves the whole set up and DX12.

If you do sell it I've seen it go for around $80. Check ebay to gauge a price.

yeah i was kind of kidding bout the head on a plate but i would be thrilled if the series lived up to its name and forced batman to work on his own again. not that i dislike everyone else but there is just something about solo bats that is special to me. idk. look forward to the final issue regardless. has been a great ride.
and is this the dx thread? thought it was a comic discussion. my bad i guess.

joker fish?

I think we are due for some more in-hand pics of the DX11. Too much side talk :lol

I love the new Joker. While I agree that I'd like to see him return to his original form, I'd love to see SSC take on the New 52 version someday, along with the rest of the JL.

As for the tray, all I can say is,"God, don't let it be Alfred, don't let it be Alfred, DON'T LET IT BE ALFRED!!!!!"

Just flex'ed the 2.0 EX from SSC... This will be my first HT 1/6 Ledger Joker.. I missed the others... I can't believe all the extras they've packed into this box...Damn... After seeing some vids on You tube I can't wait!!! I have the 1/6 Batman DKR figure, but I'm sure we will get 2.0 and 3.0's of the Begins and TDK Batman as time passes. Hope to add those to the Bats collection!

that sounds like a really fun idea, cr0w. i'm really digging the current joker run in batman. cant wait for the final issue but sad it's ending. snyder's run on the book has been pretty epic. hope he and capullo stay on board for a while.
i had a similar idea regarding a ledger/joker bash in the current comic style but less extreme than what i imagine you're going for. look forward to your pics.

I got this from listening to fatman on batman when Kevin smith interviewed Scott; we got another year and half with the dynamic duo of capullo and Snyder.

I hope they extend it. I am loving their teamwork.

Scott Snyder and Johnathan Hickman are blessings in the comic world. The stories we have got from these guys are some of my favorite of all time. Snyders detective run might be my favorite current age comic story!
