Thanks for the feedback, Fiend! The wait for the regular to ship from my LCS is going to be killer...
^ Yeah, I don't know what he means by that. What does your feelings toward a custom sculpt have to do with when your join date is.
You make a good point too. Many members always assume since you're a newly joined member that you're new to collecting or that you've never been a member to a forum before.
I was being too sensitive, you did nothing wrong. I feel bad now and I'm very sorry, because I'm afraid this might somehow give random readers a bad impression of you, even though it all started from my misguided post, which I shouldn't have made until I knew what you talking about.no worries ~ i probably should have contextualized my post. looking back, it only makes sense if you know exactly what i am referring to. i still forget how people jump to conclusions around here. ******* newb mistake on my part obviously.
Nice review and pic, Fiend. I'm patiently waiting for whenever mine ships.
Thanks Fiend for the review....
Awesome Review, Mike!!! I told u it came it quick and today was the day. I agree on 100% on everything u say on your review even though this is my 1st HT Joker ever. I have every single recent Nolan Bats from the Nolan trilogy and 89 Bats, but now I got the best villain to add in my collection. Now I gotta wait and see how Bane turns out in hand. He will be my last HT figure for a long while unless Loki comes out perfect.

Great and honest review Fiend , awesome pic too brother .
Thanks for the review, TheFiend
When I do get Bane, I'm going to have to box up the 89 Bats as he doesn't fit with my Nolanverse figures. Might end selling Keaton Bats if anyone is interested. Just PM me.
Thanks a lot guys! I like doing these small reviews.
My thoughts.
Packaging- I really like this one. Much better than the original DX boxes,DX01 and DX02. It doesn't have that crappy semi-gloss finish on the outside of the box where if you just barely touch it there's scrapes left behind. But beyond that the art is better. I dig the crouched laughing Jester on the front and the glossy " HA HA HA!!" in the inner flap.
Accessories- Well, there is enough here to please everyone. Well, most of us. A few things that fans have been asking for but not everything. But for me it's just fine. They included the shoe knife which I don't care for.Speaking of which, this seems like one of those things that everyone asks for but never uses when they have it. I mean, think of how you would display him with it. Anyway, the pencil and the selection of knives are a nice touch and welcome. The finish on the machine gun looks different to me but I can't be sure because I don't have the old one anymore. Now the finish on the glock is definitely different and looks more on the cheap side compared to the last one. Much like the hand gun that came with the DX10. The chair and table are nice for those of us that don't have it and finally gives some of us the interrogation scene set up we've wanted. I like the faux rust on the stand. Still not sure how I feel about the purple border though.
Suit- This thing is nice. It took me a little of guard. Now I don't know if it's because I had the previous Jokers and was still expecting something along the lines of that or my lack of faith in a mass production run being able to put out the same level of quality of a custom. Either way this thing is an upgrade on every level. The purple coat is nowhere near as fuzzy looking in hand. I've taken pics and I can't get it to look the way I see it in hand.. It's very soft and it kind of "flows" when moved. The vest, sport coat, shirt and tie are wonderful. All of which, with the exception of the vest, drove me up the wall on the DX01. All pieces here are sharp and speak quality. I like the shoes more than I thought I would and actually have what looks like a bit of weathering already done to them. The pants are fine with me but I think I may prefer the V1 pants to these just for articulation reasons but I don't think of it as a step down by any means. And the socks. They're different. Are they accurate? Are they exactly the same color as the film? I don't know. I like them more.
Head sculpts- This is the toughest part. For me, I actually like all the HT sculpts they've done of the Joker and can see Ledger in every one of them to varying degrees of course. They're all pretty caricature-ish. With this one, is it better? I guess. I think there is a lot of Ledger in there. Like most PERS sculpts the likeness can be stronger or weaker depending on where you position the eyes. This one is no exception and actually may be the strongest example of such. I like the sculpts but at this late date is it a slam dunk? No, I don't think so. We've seen dozens of Ledger Joker sculpts over the past few years it's gotten to the point where it's extremely difficult to review these sculpts on their own merit. You're gonna compare them. The likeness is there but I don't think it's the end all be all of Ledger sculpts and I see me buying a replacement somewhere down the road. But that's the nature of these head sculpt, ennit? But for now it'll do. It has a lot of character and potential for some really fun poses/displays. I don't like the laughing as much as I thought I would but honestly when everyone else was demanding and craving a laughing sculpt I was one of the only ones that was "meh'. Mine do have a shine to them which I could do without but it's nothing I'm going to lose my **** over. It is what it is.
Overall Id' give it an 8.5/10 and that's high praise for me. I rarely give 9's or 10's to anything whether its a movie or a figure or otherwise.
Yeah, nice mini review and pic Fiend. Just made me look forward to this one even more. I can't wait to get it.
Ironic that you placed an order (or your mother in law) from overseas, they shipped it out quick, and you literally got in days. Yet, the DX 12 Batman that you ordered from Sideshow, from inside the U.S. has been what, about a month? Crazy. And to top it off, they even pack it well with a box within a box.
I bought from Amiami a few years ago. I got the Scarecrow and Demon Batman two pack. They did pack it extremely well and I believe it got to me in less than a week. I was really impressed.
Hey Dane, do you get your figures from CSC?Thanks for the feedback, Fiend! The wait for the regular to ship from my LCS is going to be killer...
Heres some quick ones. Ill do more of a full set up once I get my second DX11 in. Im actually thinking of selling the Xces Studios diorama for $200 plus shipping in States so if anyone is interested hit me up.
Anyhoos, heres the pics!
Lol. In all honesty, I wasn't even being serious. I just like to drop that line in this thread once in a while and laugh at the reactions that follow
First impressions.
The suit. Honestly, after all the hoopla and the anticipation of this kato suit I wasn't expecting it to be as good as it is. It's very nice. It feels like a real suit. And one that was actually tailored to a body. I was really surprised just how soft the purple coat is. It feels like super soft suede.

Whoever got my cancellation on the Ex. congrats! Its a cool figure but I just sat there staring at the 265.00 that was going to be charged on my card....then staring at the pics of the figure on here. It went back and forth like that for a few days until I caved and hit the cancel button.....and then the "are you sure" button.
