FINALLY got this buitiful bastard, he really is just.....

DX12 really is a great figure.

Nothing against some of the mods and replacement capes on here, but I love him straight out of the box.

All the modding that people have done to this figure has only served to make an awesome figure more awesome.

You know, I kind of regret not getting this guy when he came out. I have the DX02, and I think he's great. DX12, obviously, the body is awesome, but I had problems with the shape of the head and the googly eyes, so I passed.

But now I think that was a mistake. The head and eyes seem to be based on how he's posed, since I've seen some great pictures and youtube reviews.

Now, secondary market prices seem to be hovering around $300+ for him, and I'm not going to pay that much when I have a perfectly good DX02 standing five feet away.

Who knows, maybe SS will get some more in stock :/

Not really seeing any need for mods atm either so that's good.

One question though, the secondary belt without out all the clips etc, it CAN open, right? Because I don't see any way of opening it, and it seems glued.

that belt works the same as the other one, opens in the back

Really not seeing where it "opens at the back" then, because unlike the other belt all the little holes are glued shut.

EDIT: just got it lose, that was shut tight quite a bit.

The clasps are not glued, though they may look like the sections next to them that are glued. Photos coming of both closed and open for both belts which will be of infinite help to you.

Ah, that's nice to know. I'd rather not start pulling and jerking on Hot Toys figures and accessories before I know what I'm doing. The naked belt was shut tight so much that I was convinced it was glued, guess not

At times it is tough to just avoid telling others to repose their figures right? There are a few on this board where I feel like going to their home and tell them "dude, this is how you are supposed to pose dx12...and your other figures."

As a matter of fact, I did! My buddy who just recently got into the 1/6 game made his first purchase with the dx12. The pose he gave him was just...ugh, an eyesore. So I went to his home, reposed it, and boom, a proper looking batman.

I really love posing my figures up and consider it a big part of my hobby, but often I gravitate toward neutral, naturalistic poses. At first I thought they were boring poses and I was boring, but then realized, that's just what I dig, I guess.

I cringe whenever I see bad futzing... such as those pics where the stock cape isn't pushed all the way in... why buy such expensive toys and make them look like cheap $50 dolls with all this bad futzing!

Hey man, all of my figures are in neutral power poses...they just seem more imposing that way, save for a few because I just wanted a little variety. Like my superheroes have neutral stances, while Luke has his blaster drawn, blade is either putting his gun back into his coat or is drawing it out, and jack sparrow is...well, jack NEEDS an odd pose because its jack.

And yeah, bad posture with the cape not pushed all the way in...that's just slapping on a couple coats of paint and calling it a day.

Also, self futzing? Hmmm...like them back to the future sneakers?? Hell yeah!

I do love my DX11, but Gordon and Dent, I'm not too fussed about getting a hold of.

I'd rather flesh out my Terminator collection.
