Yeah it's hard to imagine HT would give all their OTHER new SW figures a light up lightsaber and not the leading character of the new movie. Especially when the Finn figure already got one.

I find it hard to believe that the inclusion of the lightsaber is what pushed those on the fence into order the figure.

As for me, it was a must-have, regardless.

Me too. Don't get me wrong, I am very glad they did, but I was happy before when I was planning to source my own.

I don't much care if it lights up (my Vader hasn't even seen its batteries yet) but I would be surprised if Rey doesn't get the light up version too since Finn already has.

In a way I kinda do hope it sells out, as having something exclusive is always a little more exciting than something freely available! No plans to sell it or anything so not bothered about re-sale value, but still. Always nice to have the option!

I planned on getting it whether or not they included a lightsaber. I was just gonna get a parted out one from Luke or Finn, saves me the trouble now.

Until they announce Han or Poe, Rey is the only TFA fig I want. Maybe a stormtrooper if one is discounted later on.

I was on the fence over getting this Mary Sue or not, but I'm in now.

Would've been cool if it lit up, but I'm okay with it not lighting up. I only used the light up feature for luke, vader, obi, when i first got them. Cool feature none the less. Can't wait to pose her with kylo

I like how they boast about her likeness to Daisy Ridley in their description, even though she doesnt look like her at all. And photoshopping the lightsaber needs to stop. False advertising!

I suppose, if times got really tough, years and years from now, having something "exclusive" would make all the difference when selling off a collection. However, I think most Hot Toys keep their base value, at the very least. I'd like to say most high-end collectibles do, but I know that isn't true.

Go to hot toys facebook page. the description clearly says it doesnt light up lol. "Furthermore, Luke Skywalker’s lightsaber will now be included for Rey as a bonus accessory (This lightsaber does not contain LED light-up function)."

Their official FB page. Think it was updated sometime after, from what I assume was an influx of inquiries about the feature.
