Yep. Last as always. I'm still waiting for my Deadpool.

Loonten does not provide brown shippers, I've ordered from him twice and from what I can remember he uses a plastic bag of sorts

Thanks for the confirmation, at least we know now.

Doesn't bother me in the slightest as it long as it has the official figure packaging.

Hopefully someone who's ordered from Loontentoys before can clear up this brown shipper or lack of for us as I've zero experience of getting HT from China/Hong Kong. Sorry you can't display them right now, that must suck.

I've not pre-ordered yet as the listing runs to the 9th of Feb so there seems no rush, he won't get the figures till a few weeks after that date anyway. I'll probably pre-order just before that date in case he ups the price when relisting this figure. I wouldn't say it's stupidly cheap, around the going rate for HK and US buyers, we are just used to paying rip of UK prices. :lol

I just received the Poptoys Victorian Sherlock figure from KG Hobby this morning with the value marked down and so far don't see to have incurred any import duty. Hopefully it stays that way and I don't get a letter in the next few days. They are Hong Kong based and allow you to pre-order with just a deposit like SS and other retailers. Their HT pre-orders seem to go very fast though. This figure was sold out with them a while ago.

I may pre-order with him around that time also, assuming he will get them in stock and send them out the same time as everyone else around March time. Haha, this is true, I remember when I first started collecting a couple years back and got The Crow, Thor, Wolverine, Captain America etc. all around the £180 mark, now it seems prices have gone up £70 or so, it's insane.

If it doesn't come within a week I think you should be good. I was reading the Loonten thread you provided also and noticed some people have some bad reviews, mostly from dealing outside of Ebay with him, but I'm still really tempted to order from him just to see if I can get a good reliable cheaper place to order form, my only fear is pre-ordering with him and maybe missing out on items if I wait for releases.

Did you get any import fees and customs taxes or what you payed on ebay is what you payed full stop?

I've never understood the desire for the brown shippers. what makes them so great?

Like I said I prefer to have the because at the moment I have to have them in storage and it's just extra protection and you know the item hasn't been tampered with when it comes in. I guess for other people it helps with reselling as people seek them also.

Will you be able to display your collection anytime soon? Must be driving you mad having them all in the boxes :lol I had mine in storage for about six weeks while I was decorating the room they are displayed in...felt like a really long six weeks!

I noticed those bad reviews to, though in all cases they did seem to get resolved eventually. They seem isolated compared to the thousands he sells each year but yeah I have all the same doubts and indecision you do :lol who would have thought this hobby could cause such headaches.

I'll still pre-order lots with UK retailers, being able to pay off large orders gradually makes things a lot easier. It's not their fault the prices have risen so much, passing on Hot Toys increasing costs and the weak pound is really hurting them. But prices are so high I've decided I have to source at least some from Hong Kong/China. £50 saving per figure soon adds up to a significant amount.

I'm keeping my eye on when Loontentoys gets Black Panther in stock which should give us a better idea of wait time we can expect on this figure. Dean Knight put his review up of that figure three weeks ago. Another HK seller, wzlucky1983, has his Black Panther listed as "coming very soon".

Until I saw the previous video review I had dismissed this version of the Joker.

I still feel that way, but the design has grown on me. I'm digging the "Man Who Laughs" vibe, especially since someone noted the Bela Lugosi-ness. I wish this would have been delayed for later in the year as I've already committed to Doctor Strange and that's a non-negotiable. Maybe the 2ndry market will be kind??

It will certainly be kinder than it is for the Ledger Joker's!
