Well that just wouldn't make any sense. Hot Toys has a great opportunity to play around with some ideas and create their own interpretations.

It actually makes perfect sense from a business stand point, recycled sculpts with different paint apps cost less and people will buy them regardless. Don't get me wrong I'd like to see unique sculpts too, but it just isn't likely.

Different face sculpts would make the predators unique and give each one 99% more character than they have now.

Yeah.. but that's not what HT does. Like Nam mentioned, Celtic and Chopper had the same head sculpt as Scar. Gort/Guardian has the same head sculpt as P1. It's cost effective. And beyond that, it's acceptable because there's no reference material to say "That's not accurate". Because any Predator with just a Bio on in any movie doesn't have a face. It looks like this underneath:

With the Bio attached using Velcro.

I would be shocked if HT didn't use the Berserker head sculpt for Falconer and Tracker. I mocked up what I think they'll do: simply paint changes based on the paint scheme body colors.

I dont think they'll all have red eyes though.

I think it's clear, HT doesn't care for yours. You can wish in one and and ____ in the other. See which gets filled first. He's only being a realist. And it's to be expected. So why keep whining about it?

Couldn't have said it any better other than why live in a little reality world? I prefer to live in the real world I am confident Hot Toys will not make new heads, design them themselves. Also, I am a business man and a collector. Not just from biomask making.

It would also make sense for the Falconer and Tracker to have a similar head as that of Berserker's because they belong to the same race. Classic Pred et. al. belong to a different one. Looking at the head design of this new Pred, the changes are significant and distinct to the old one.

Yup. Form over function blows. This guy's only gonna be able to do "Butt sticking out w/jazz hands" pose.

A shame they didn't give him better articulation like the other preds. With HT's prices getting higher and the poseability being tossed out in favor of aesthetics, one only has to pay a bit more to pick up one of Sideshow's superior maquettes.

Yup they mentioned it specifically in the article. They are intentionally sacrificing articulation for aesthetics. They say that the classic Pred will also receive this treatment so I think we can expect a body totally different from Berserker.

at this rate...it would be wise to move on to statues HT.
