i think all(well most) hot toys figures should have PERS as long as its done right and doesnt add to the price.

I disagree for a few reasons. One, as has been mentioned, so far the eye openings have been pretty open to maximize use of the feature, but someone like Arnie should have a squinted look. If HT gives all PERS heads a more open eye look, some won't look so good.

My other reason is, while I haven't had a problem yet, PERS is a mechanism and can therefore break and if it does, the head is pretty much worthless.

There are characters or looks where PERS can really add value, and others where, to me, the feature doesn't add enough to warrant adding a fuction to a key piece of the figure that can break and ruin it.

That and tone down the LED, I would say?!
Cause I think on the Terminators the light needs to be less bright then on IM figs.
Cause the red light in T´s were never blinding and they looked at you a lot...through the screen...you know...IN YOUR SOUL...THEY KNOW YOU´RE THERE...YOU CAN´T REASON WITH´EM!!!!!

See, now it´s official, they´re everywhere...
:eek

Hmmmm... Timo, you seem to be a little tired.
Go, a small soup, and to bed! :lol

T_F_G, I would agree IF Hot Toys improves the design of the toggles, as per the breakage issues with the DX Joker. (Thankfully I have not broken mine)

Even though the Enterbay toggles are finicky, I prefer their design, esp. on the FOF Lee.

Well I dont actually have any DX figures so Im not quite sure what you mean by "toggle"
I own all the Enterbay Bruce Lee figures though and I love the eye system on those.

Thats why I said "as long as its done right".

I wasnt aware PERS can actually break. I was thinking it would be similar to Enterbays eye system(which seems unbreakable to me).
But yeah, with the risk of breakage, I can see where youre coming from in terms of not using PERS when its not necessary.

PERS works by each eye being attached to an internal mechanism that is then connected to a small joystick-like controller that you move to make the eyes move. The system feels quite fragile on DX Joker, less so on Batman, don't know how it came out on MJ, but it's fragile, and if it breaks you're pretty much screwed.

The benefit is, you don't have to try and make individually posed eyes line up right, but the mechanism for making that happen is more fragile than something like Enterbay's method.

I've had the pers eyes in my DX joker head break. I tried to superglue it together again, with no luck. :( So now, he's stuck looking up and to the left.

I will, but hat´s not the reason.
Just alittle funny stuff.

I have no doubt HT couls pull it off.
And it would look great.
On to the police shootout, I would say.^^

I am not a fan of the moving eye feature; its a cool idea but as others have expressed, should be use in the appropriate context....

Personally, if any terminator figure were to have PERS, id say it shouldve been this Tech Noir T-800...or the T2 T-800.
It would suit this particular terminator perfect IMO.
Im just a bit put off after reading it can break though.

Another issue is that the eyes don't always line up perfectly. Of course, this is also an issue with painted eyes. Not sure which is worse, if you were to take a sample and compare the two.

To be truly accurrate, you need more than sunglasses and a jacket. You need alternate weapons, grey tshirt, jacket, glasses, headsculpt with exposed Endo eye.

If anything, HT could combine Police and BD into a single release.

You don't need the battle damage eye, especially since you never even see it (or even a hint of red behind the glasses) during that scene.

Yeah, but to be truly accurate(as maulfan said) then you DO need the battle damage eye underneath.
It wouldnt be right not too have it...unless its a custom figure of course. But then it wouldnt be truly accurate.
but for HTs to not do it would be unacceptable.

It would bother me for a figure based on after he cuts away and reveals the eye in the movie to not have that, if the head is specifically only for that use. If they were trying to get Tech Noir and Police Shootout in one head, I could forgive it, but they can't because of the hair styles and you can't get away with the BD head because there's blood all over it. They're going so specific, any other T1 T-800s will be specific to scenes after that's done, so it needs to be there.

whoa...that head looks really tiny on that pic:(

That is my crappy old camera... 2 megapixels of distortion! But do not worry... Santa will get me a new one for xmas and I will get some good shots. I will do some of the new sculpted eye (which not only hides the massive led bulb, but dims it just enough.
Dizzy

For anyone who ordered from Angolz, they've just today changed the figure's listing from Pre-Order to Out of Stock. I haven't received a shipping notice yet but I guess it can't be too far off.
